    Default [Simba] EvilChicken!'s Fight Cave Runner!

    EvilChicken!'s Fight Cave Runner!
    Current version: v0.7
    Current status: working!

    This script will run the Fight Caves repeatedly, earning you free fighting experience.

    Setup instructions:
    • Run this script using Simba; it will not compile in SCAR. Checkout to the latest revision of the OpenDev repository.
    • Make sure you're having the RS client on the standard autoing settings; fixed screen size, safe mode and maximum brightness.
    • Place all players in front of the Fight Cave entrance, log out.
    • Carefully read the setup instructions written in the script.
    • Set up DeclarePlayers correctly.
    • Activate the client (if not using S.M.A.R.T.), press run.
    • Enjoy doing other stuff while the script does it's job.
    • Post the progress report you get, in [REPORT] tags! Additional feedback is always welcome -- please do query if you're experiencing issues with the script or have some tips or requests for me.

    NOTE:
    This script is in an early-beta stage, and is only mildly tested. I need feedback from you to improve it and make it as good as it can be.

    Best report so far:

    v0.4: Added a few failsafes; will now try to calibrate if it hasn't detected a fight in 30 seconds.

    v0.7: New features and fixes. Shouldn't examine entrance any more, for instance.
    > 8 views as of 03.01.2011
    v0.8: Properly implemented the fightmode adjustment system, and added a procedure to get a "stuck" player unstuck!

    Does this get you "unstuck"? I'm not sure if you still get stuck but you used to get into the corners of the cave where monsters wouldn't attack and because of antiban you would just be stuck there ad infinitum.

    I'm not familiar with that, but it makes sense as I've heard people used safespots for JAD. But then again, I remember Markus baww'ing about Jagex removing those spots some time ago?
    I have this CalibrateToCenterOfCave function.. If I make the script remember the last time it was in a fight, and calibrate to center of cave when it has passed X amount of time without the player being in a fight, .. would that work? And if so, how many ms should X be?

    Yeah that would work fine. I guess 20 seconds would be enough? I doesn't really matter though, if you recalibrate whilst under attack they'll all just follow you anyway.

    Following that logic, wouldn't Al Kharid's furnace be monitored? Or Edgeville for the amount of scripts I've seen that work there.

    I honestly don't think Jagex monitors the fight caves on every member server just because a script (That has been dead for a while) was ran there.

    v0.4 is out, I added the failsafe to check whether player is stuck -- and it works; I've deliberately gotten myself stuck and the script did detect this. There are probably some other minor changes aswell.
    As you also can see, a new report is also up.

    You mean random-wise? Not as far as I've seen.
    Haven't had a single random in the couple of hours I've ran it, and neither should anybody else if they don't abuse the script.
    And this goes out to all the people who are concerned -- you know the risks, you've seen the results of misuse. I just made this script due to it's former popularity. Use it at your own risk.

    I used Harry's caver for hours, sometimes days. I never got a single infraction. It's all about being a bit smart, using it for human-like periods, take regular breaks and shift activities every couple of days.

    How do you manage to not only put out many scripts, but many innovative quality scripts? You are my god.

    Also how much exp does this yield (x per y hr)? I'm so unfamiliar with the fight caves (I've never been there) and I was wondering after I finish this thing I'm working on I'd like to check it out.

    No but i think they are more on the watch out for people running the fight caves due to it being over used by bots after Harry's script...

    Well like he said, just be smart.

    As a personal rule I never bot for more then 6 hours +

    And afterwards I don't login to RS at all unless I'm doing something like Stealing Creation or Pest control so I don't raise suspicion.

    Thanks for the compliment.

    If someone starts using this, I'll implement some X/hr calculators into the progress report and we'll see.
    As it is with all my scripts, I'll cheerfully update any of them whenever they're used and feedback is given. Think of it as a reward, in a win-win situation.

    Progress Report:
    Debug_Ln('Taking a break.');

    Caused it to fail while compiling, I commented it out and it compiled testing now.

    I couldn't get it to run more then small spurts, also smart wasn't working (I see you commented it, so I uncommented it and it didn't work)

    I moved the procedure TakeBreak to after the procedure DebugLine, instead of before it.

    then replaced the include part with this

    {.include srl/srl/misc/Smart.scar}
    {.include srl/srl.scar}
    {.include SRL/SRL/Misc/Reports.scar}
    {.include srl/srl/misc/debug.scar}
    {.include srl/srl/misc/SmartColors.scar}
    //{$DEFINE UseLaptopMouse}

    also, it gives up trying to get unstuck and logs out often

    At first it couldnt find the cave, and so logged out, tried a couple of times and it eventually found it. Was running for about 10 minutes then logged out mid combat and gave no reason in the debug. Started up again whilst still in combat and just logged me out again because it couldnt find cave (obviously). Updated to 0.4 and now it cant find the cave at all, have it safe mode etc SIMBA upto date as far as i know.

    Also couldnt use scar fails to compile when un-commented

    For those of you who say that the script fails to find the cave entrance..
    What does the script do? Does it atleast rotate the camera south? And, what version are you using? You're supposed to be using v0.4.

    It is suppoosed to wait ten seconds after the first login! That is intentional. I hope you've waited past those ten seconds?

    And for those who say it doesn't compile.. Did you even read the first post?
    It will NOT compile in SCAR!

    For me, it ran to the right of the cave entrance (if you are facing cave) and couldn't find its way back.

    And I am using Simba, if you read my post I said what line caused it to not compile and that I fixed it.

    Oh, damn, guys, I'm really sorry for whatever stupid mistakes I've made;
    - I fixed the compiling error in 0.4, I have no idea how that slipped my compilings
    - I added SetAngle(False); to OnLogin, sorry that I forgot to mention that you should start the script logged out. That should fix any errors with finding the cave.
