SRL
The SRL Development Team is proud to present the SRL Resource Library, a Pascal Library chiefly consisting of color routines. SRL covers a wide variety of applications such as advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and Graphical Object Recognition. Although much of SRL's functionality is generic in nature, the vast majority are specialized functions dedicated to the playing of the MMORPG Runescape.
The management and maintenance of the SRL Library is made possible through a developer maintained Subversion Repository (SVN). SRL is updated regularly by the team of qualified SRL Developers who provide SRL free of charge for the SRL Community. SRL is interpreted by Simba which is developed by the SRL community.
Simba is a program designed to perform repetitive tasks such as mouse movements, keyboard strokes and complicated sequence of events. Simba is controlled through user created scripts written in the PASCAL language. Simba uses advanced techniques such as OCR, Bitmap and DTM recognition to gather information about its environment.
This featureset makes Simba ideal for performing automatic tasks in so called MMORPG 's, online role playing games. These games are designed to keep the player occupied clicking on in-game objects, or executing small sequences of events... for hours a day, providing the players Avatar with online status and virtual wealth. Simba releases you of those duties. Simba helps you play. It can control your Avatar while you are doing something better with your precious time.
Simba is a legal product. Simba uses only legal methods. Simba is 100% open-source and published under the GNU-license. Simba does not infringe any copyright. Although Simba works with methods often refferred to as "against the rules", it is in fact a perfectly legal product. Simba is 100% free and is actively begin developed by a number of young talented programmers worldwide.
Alternatively one can use SCAR which was designed by Kaitnieks (Aivars Irmejs), and further maintained by Freddy1990 (Frederic Hannes)
SCAR is however not developed nor maintained by the community and not accessible for (community-based) changes.
SRL 4 is compatible with SCAR and Simba.
SRL aims to assist the numerous scripts tuning into the wonderful world of Runescape. Through analysis of the Graphical Output to the screen SRL is able to automate repetitive tasks relieving the script user from the physical acts of clicking and pressing keys.
Though the method developed by SRL is commonly referred to as “cheating”, it is completely legal. It does not infringe on any copyrights. In fact, SRL is the only accepted method of automating game-play within all legal bounds.
SRL is a proud community comprising of hundreds of talented programmers worldwide; young intellectuals thriving to gain knowledge over Pascal and programming in general, while at the same time advancing their Runescape skills. The community is free for all (donations gladly accepted), though SRL-Membership is acquired by applying with a well written SRL script.
Mission Statement:
To blend in among fellow players, cloaked and in disguise; without anybody noticing or rejecting our presence. We fulfil an intellectual challenge; a fun game of cat and mouse. We are the hunted for over four years.
