I applied to 4 universities in California and managed to get accepted to all of them. I will either go to UC Berkeley or UCLA next year. I don't have as much financial aid, so I'll probably be applying for student loans and working during the summer. As for tips, I need some myself lol.

Applied this year for university in the UK (if I'm understanding right, that's the equivalent of college?). Applied for a BEng in Electronic Engineering and Comp Sci at Exeter (Russell Group). Pretty excited, not gonna lie :)

Well, I personally just chose 5 colleges.
I applied to:
Georgia Tech
Vanderbilt
John Hopkins
Cal Tech
MIT - ED

Results:
Georgia Tech - Accepted (full scholarship)
Vanderbilt - Accepted (50% Scholarship)
John Hopkins - Wait listed (Kind of Surprising)
Cal Tech - Accepted (50% Scholarship)
MIT - ED - Deffered (Still Waiting for Response for Reg)

Generally, when do American colleges start?

late August or early September. Also engineering is pretty hard my university in the US has a 60+% drop/transfer rate.
