hi everyone!
ok, this is my problem... my internet doesnt work and i can still access this site?? wtf. well anyway... my mailing system doesnt work... most sites, such as google dont work. only about 10 sites that i know work. and i can still download from other people with p2p sharing.
EDIT: now google works again... but my mail service still down...........

You got a doggy firewall or your parents are blocking sites.

I had a weird problem that made me have to format my harddrive and reinstall Windows. I could only use P2P programs (Limewire, specifically ;)). Nothing else would connect to the internet. I tried, I'm pretty sure, everything. Just ended up formatting :\

i have no firewall (still earching for one) and i am the admin of my computer. nobody in my family knows shit about computers except me =)
now google is down again for me... it looks like google goes on and off and on and off... oh and i have google web accelerator
whats a good firewall?

Kerio Personal Firewall. It's free. I <3 it to death ;) Zone Alarm is nice too I guess :p

oh cool! thanks... now i just have to wait until google is available to me again...
Well I used to have a similar problem, my internet used to cut off so websites would never get displayed, but p2p applications like azureus and limewire still worked fine.
What I now do to sort this problem is, I take a certain wire out the back of my router. Wait about 30 seconds while refreshing my browser. Then I put the wire back in and a window comes back up saying renewing IP address. Then I wait until its renewed which takes about 1 minute. Then I continue my surfing on the net.
It works like a charm. ;)
And Un-named, why would his parents block google? Lmao.

omfg! when i touched my router, it burned my hand!!!! holy crap! its so hot that i cannot touch it! i still did what you said keen and still doesnt work...
