Hey guys,

Like StickToTheScript, I'm also thinking bout building a pc.

I got no experience at this at all, asked The Mayor for some nice help! thx again bro :p

this is what he showed me : Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6olutcuXHc)
Will this be able to run 10 bots?

That's sorta the requirement I need, no need for VPS' anymore then.
But yeah I need help with buying all them pieces, since I got 0 experience

Thx!

Don't need GPU. just use the integrated graphics that intel supplied, if your running bots, i doubt you even need to use peripherals like a screen.
Would get 4GB more ram. OS takes a fair bit of it up.
Would get a PSU with more Watts. just to be on the safe side. maybe like 600W?

everything else seems fine to me

Thx :) Could save greens on that aspect.

Anything else? Speedster said it would probably only run 6-7 bots :(

majority of that system is bad for running bots, you'd be better off going 8350 build

Double posting sorry :)

Thanks to Chris Reborn (formerly known as Idodew) I got this list of components for a decent botting pc.

OEM Motherboard
i7 870
or
amd fx 8350
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 / 120mm
350 watt psu
radeon 5570
160gb caviar blue hdd
8gb ddr3 ram

He says it's easily used for 10 bots. I take his word ;) (Bare in mind I got 0 experience in these things)

Anyway what are your opinions guys?

that' is a 8350 build, what motherboard and psu? just 350watts means nothing, majority of the psu's rated 350 watts are trash & don't deliver even 300 watts

He can't recall the mobo.

Could u recommend smthing? and what psu could I get?

EDIT: I'm learning bout this stuff by googling , seems complicated atm

EDIT2: JEEZE, parts are expensive in europe :(

power supplies are the most complicated, you should probably read about everything else and learn them well, before getting into PSU's

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17-139-049

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157280

board I guess doesn't matter too much, since you're just botting, but a super cheap one will probably die, so you don't want that

do they even sell 5570's anymore?

if you plan on having a monitor on that machine and not running it headless, probably something like this:

always go for single rail, since a 600 2 rail psu can have two 300watt rails and you don't know which is which, thus if you power everything with only one of the rails, the shit explodes.. just a rule of thumb TODAY, some better higher up models bridge their rails or something, but they're expensive as hell usually.. their efficiency isn't that great either

pm me if you need help

only thing I always let people see is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyXLu1Ms-q4

dot method, the first one, at the beginning of the video.. is ALWAYS the best way to apply thermal paste, there is no reason to ever do it any other way, and usually only a downside to other ways.

with the hyper 212 you'll have the white, silicone type spread so it will spread easier and you won't have to worry about the dot method with the grey paste

Useful info, I'm probably going for the corsair :)

Do u know any good online stores in the USA that ship overseas?

I tried newegg, tigerdirect and cnix. Some don't ship overseas/ expensive shipment costs.
Found a decent one in Belgium, but trying to weight my options.

does that have your ccountry? just pick your country and then go through parts there, you can message me on skype too I only check villavu once a day since I work & college full time

that finds the cheapest prices for whatever harder is able to be shipped to your country from whatever websites, so it's a good resource no matter what

my bro also just got this list he made a while ago.. stickied a few hours ago:

Looks good :) Too bad Belgium isn't in the list.

I compared the prices with www.forcom.be seems like it's only €20-30 off. So not gonna bother bout that

Are you familiar with www.OutletPC.com ? If I buy everything there, it would be $60 cheaper even with overseas shipmentcosts.

they ship overseas?
they're pretty close to where my aunt/uncle/cousin lives, might be why I've heard of them.. they have a company in vegas and I do their server stuff (fly down sometimes to be on site) so I guess that can be considered legit enough?
I don't think I have ever bought anything there though

Yeah their shipment cost was low compared to other sites, but I might just buy in belgium. Pay few quids for, since it's safer in general.

I'll be buying in few weeks :p Thanks again for all the help, learned a bit bout hardware here.

they're mega legit, a few companies I've worked for use them for international shipping & I've used them for personal stuff too(internationally)
maybe will save you money somewhere, good luck though

rofl just realized we almost have identical cups

No GPU?? Just look at the stress it puts on your GPU when you run 1 bot. It has to do alot of graphical calculations.

Lol, turn off the screen? he's making it purely for bots, you dont need to use the screen to bot other than just to start your scripts. + it would be more beneficial to actually invest in a higher end cpu rather than waste money on a gpu which you wont even use. screen off = no gpu use afaik

You sure about that? Clicking disable graphics doesn't improve performance that much for me (or not at all)

This is my rig http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=24654467

It's a 700$ build and i'm able to run around 10 Virtual Machines with 1 core and 1GB Memory assigned to each one. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to run about 10-20 Simba bots.

It's a pretty good build IMO except the PSU. I actually ordered it before I did more research on it... how stupid of me. But i've seen people complain that it will only last 3 months then totally stop working, i've had it for about 5 months and it's running just fine.

Another thing you could add to it is this; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181029&Tpk=Corsair%20H55&IsVirtualParent=1 it will keep the desktop below 50c even when running all your bots. I've been able to run 7 Virtual Machines all with Windows 7 on them with around 80% CPU Usage and it staying at around 45c.

The processor does come with an Air Cooler but it's pretty bad.. Really loud too. The H55 is really really good IMO. Been using it for almost a month and temps always been below 45c and quiet as fuck.

EDIT: You could get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231422 instead of the G.SKILL memory; it's almost half the cost and that should take the price down to about 670$

You could also find another GPU.. You don't really need a good one for just botting. My rig is mainly a gaming rig, not totally meant for botting. I also didn't pick out another HDD since I already had like 3 lying around.

mhm, positive, if you have a gpu and you disable graphics how the hell would it effect your performance on your CPU?

no lol, just dont ask another question, you aint getting it, just take my word. This is one of reasons why people run headless systems. because they can buy a more powerful CPU instead of wasting money on a gpu that you wont use. a GPU is useless in a botting sense.
