Help me with a PC Gaming build?

Well, I have been looking for a good Gaming PC build for/under $1000. I have been looking around but I dont know what to go for. I am not a major computer hardware person, so this is where I need some help.

I know it may seem like I am asking a lot, but I was kinda hoping for a list. Yes, I know I posted something of the sorts a couple months ago, but now I can actually afford one and I know electronics change fast, so some help would be nice!

So, yeah. Under $1000. Anyone got any ideas?

Use an online Pc builder to make sure all your hardware will work together. Most of the good ones will tell you if its not compatible or anything.

Id suggest going online and looking around, make a basic build you are looking for, or you think would be good, Post it here, and people can give you advice on different parts/brands to replace if there is something better then what you choose :)

The Fx-6350 has good reviews and good performance for the dollar value. Another nice resources is www.reddit.com/r/buildapc they always have a variety of builds for different budgets etc... (also I'd say don't skimp on the PSU or case)

Thanks. Its going well so far. Over half the parts have come in, but the only thing that hasnt shipped yet is the motherboard...

I have the power supply put in with my three hard drives and optical drive but I cant do anything else without the motherboard.

The main thing i am going to have issues with is installing windows. I dont know if I should RAID my hard drives or not.
