Intro
Tired of getting slow/difficult exp with cheap and traditional training methods or spending your load on cannonballs or chins? Try out ice troll cannoning! Get 60-80k range exp per hour and make your money back from cannonballs along with a slight profit. This can also help with knocking out troll slayer task really fast.
Requirements
Quest: Dwarf Cannon, Freminnik Trials, Freminnik Isles (started)
Minimum Skills: 60 range or 60 Atk/Str, 40 defense, 43 prayer. These are definitely the bare-bone minimum requirements. Skills higher than this will definitely increase the profit and exp per hour.
Suggested Skills: 70range or 70 Atk/Str, 60 defense, 43+ prayer.
Equipment and Inventory
You must always use the freminnik round shield! The ranged female throwing trolls will hit max 5s instead of 2s without it. This will definitely increase damage taken significantly. Also they are believed to pierce armour (not confirmed).
I suggest using a range setup. You will be running around a lot to pick up drops, so this will minimize it when you assist in attacking the trolls.
Ranged:
Find a good mix on ranged attack bonus and prayer bonus. This will depend on your prayer level, defense level, ranged level, and how much you are willing to spend on prayer potions.
Here is my setup
Melee:
An advantage to using melee is that you will be able to use armour like proselyte without using range bonus, this will definitely want gp gainz 420 higher. Again, find what suits you in terms of defense, attack, and prayer bonus.
Banking/Getting There

Bank at the bridge south in Jatizso. There is also a fish shop and fishing spots there if you are out of food. I actually teleport to my house in relekka and then run back to jatizso to use the altar and save on prayer potions.
Doing the do
The best place to do this is the highlighted island north of Jatizso.
Setup your cannon in the middle of the island
Check the outer rim for drops often
Stay keen on your health and prayer
Make sure to always keep melee prayer on
Keep the cannon filled up
Kill the ranging trolls first, as they are the ones doing damage to you
The gaurds will help you out against the trolls, but they are pretty shit
Drops
They drop a lot of alchables, so make sure you bring plenty of high alchs. I usually get 125k cash from alchs with 750 cannonballs.
Big bones (100%)- Leave
Coins - Leave or take
Balls of Wool noted - Leave or take (you will get like 150-200 an invy if you take)
Coal Noted(3) - Take
Raw Shark noted(2-12?)- Take
Seaweed noted - Take
Herring noted - Leave
Law Runes - Take
Nature runes - Take
Earth runes (60)- Leave or take
Mithril sq shield - High Alch
Adamant Axe - High Alch
Adamant full helm - High Alch
Adamant med helm - High Alch
Steel med helm - Leave
Black warhammer- High Alch
Mithril warhammer - High Alch
Adamant warhammer- High Alch
Flower Seeds - I take the limp and cactus seeds
Herb seeds - They seem to drop middle level farming herb seeds. I usually get at least 1 ranarr seed a trip, sometime many more.
Unids - Pick them up to see what they are, keep what you want
Granite Shield - Take
Rune Kiteshield - Take/High Alch
Rune warhammer - High Alch
