Wouldn't say so, since you need to of played at least 24 hours before you can trade stuff. Before full f2p it was better for f2p goldfarmers since they could trade accounts but they would loose the account after 14 days unless they made it mem.

Makes me happy to see 55k! Hope it remains, however, the 24 hour thing is so easy to bypass, simply hold down a arrow key for 6 hours, relog back in, repeat.

What's the point of bypassing it, your account likely doesn't have anything important for the first 24 hours to transfer over?

Depends on what ur wanting to farm, there are some farmables the have no requirements, and make a ton off of

I've been using the cursed goblin bow (http://2007.runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Cursed_goblin_bow). No requirements + no ammo + no damage = perfect afk. Just attack something that won't kill you and you're good for the next 6 hours.

I know that I played the game circa-2007, and didn't bot, and it was fun for me. Still is :D how about you guys? Has OSRS (especially f2p OSRS) brought back any motiviation to play legit?

Sometimes I do enjoy playing the game manually. I'm personally a fan of Castle Wars.

Yeah! Castle Wars is super fun. But you've got to have high stats and good gear to be useful in there, and nobody wants to grind, so we turn to botting and ahhh. Everything in moderation I guess.

i used to enjoy the game back in 07, when i was younger and didnt know much about the game.. now that i know bots exist, it just takes the fun out of all games, since i know i could be levelling up using a bot instead of wasting my time doing repetitive stuff heh

In a way, I think that's one of the reasons that we'll never truly get that nostalgia back. We've grown and changed as people, and that's half of the recipie to enjoying something ... ignorance is bliss, as they say

The main thing holding Rs back for me is no skill involved in combat damage, you just sit there and wait for rng. There's really not an easily solution to this in a point/click game free of skillshots unfortunately. I'm not a fan of EOC either. I don't find it intuitive or fun and still involves very little skill.


Other than that I like old school a lot.

Yesterday, I went to draynor village to bot some shrimps (left it on overnight and woke up with 51 fishing, woo).
While I was babysitting, I was striking up conversations with the people there. Community is basically the same, but more adapted to today's "dank memes". Same stuff, "say ebola if you're not a bot", watching noobs/crappy bots get killed by the dark wizard, "<></wc levels" galore, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
The only reason I'm aiming for membs is for PKing and some more activities that I find enjoyable (questing, duel arena, etc).
