Introduction



The ogLivid script is targeted to players looking to get their completionist capes. It plays the Livid Farm minigame, doing almost all possible activities to gain produce points. The only exception being Pauline's random events.

ogLivid randomizes the actions it does. Therefore, one cycle it might start by fertilizing, the next it'll start with fixing fences, and so on.


Requirements



GLX - Simba/Plugins/...

Directions and Setup



Setup for ogLivid is simple. Take the following screenshot:

Follow the directions in the screenshot above.

Afterward, give yourself a similar layout. Do not copy the one shown above. I've personally found that you don't want anything large on top of the RuneScape game window. All the is required is your inventory, and only if you're Depositing or Fixing.

Zoom all the way out.

Most importantly, take breaks and ensure you have a good amount of runes.

Ensure you have enough runes for a lengthy stay.

Bug: For now, having the in-game clock disabled is causing glModelArray.getVisible() to fail. For that reason, your in-game clock must be shown.

Worked great for a while until it started taking my character just outside the gates and into a pack of suqah. They nearly killed me. I made sure to stand on the tile highlighted when I began, any idea how to avoid running outside?

Script hasn't even started for me for about 2 days now. I tried reinstalling everything and no luck. Other scripts work fine so not sure if it's this script or not. Anyone else having any issues?

What does it say it'So doing? When you say other scripts work - do you mean OpenGL/ogLib? Have a look through the OGL tutorial Clarity posted and make sure your settings match. Also, make sure you log into the correct spot. You should also redownload the OpenGL/GLX.DLL

Tried reinstalling Simba and everything.

I have everything set up properly it just doesn't do anything.

It worked a few days ago but now it doesn't.

You never really answered Obscurity; with what he asked you. The more information you can provide the easier it will be for someone to assist you. Also, ogLib updates frequently, make sure yours is updated to the latest version.

I did. The script loads up SMART. Then it just does nothing. There's really nothing else to it.

I have everything up to date. I've reinstalled Simba and all of my Plugins and Includes.

When it loads smart, do you manually log into the game, select a world and then start the script again?

Yes.

As I said above, it worked for me for a few days then it just stopped working.

Does it at least attempt to call a procedure? What shows in the console? Do you have automatic plugin updates disabled in SIMBA? You say you have the plugins but often times the OPENGL32.dll gets overwritten by one we don't want - which is why I suggested redownloading. If it's not settled by Friday - I should be home to TV. Not willing to use that much data until then. :-P.

Thanks! I recently turned them on and that would make sense as to why it did that. But as soon as I disabled it it started to work again!

And yeah, it would act as if it's trying to work, but it wouldn't. If that makes any sense. As in inside Simba it would say:

Yes, you need to ha e downloaded ogLib. It should go Simba/Includes/ogLib/lib/etc

Hello, whenever I try to start the script it just keeps on running outside of the Livid farm area. Any ideas what could cause that?

I am logging into that tile every single time; I did manage to get it to work once, but now it's doing it again :P

Also, maybe a little suggestion. It sometimes right-clicks an action but doesn't do it, for example the encourage pauline thing, so if it does that it will just do the break thing without having encouraged her, which loses a lot of produce points.

e: somehow playing around with the 3D world map fixed it, but yeah, for me I never managed to start it smoothly.

But I am not sure why its cycles are slow? I saw in one of the proggies, 513 were achieved in much less time. My client does get very slow and glitch after about an hour or so though, I've experienced and mentioned this before though on other OGL scprits.

The script seems good. Sometimes takes a bit of time to start since have to re-set the script so it doesn't click randomly around the character. There's a problem for me that when I run the script for a few hours or more, the fps drops to very low amount and it reduces the livid points per hour. Don't know if it's the script or the smartv8.3 client, anyone got any suggestions to a fix so fps stays the same overtime? my settings are set all to low and opengl, fps is good at start but then drops after 2 hrs or more.

Thank god for this script, livid farm for comp is not something i was looking forward to doing on my own.

Script works great as far as I can tell, ill be posting a proggy as soon as it runs for a while.

Was curious whether it was better to run in fixed of resizable?

TBH, it'd probably be amazing in OS layout now that we made ogLib have custom viewports. Just make sure all inv spots are visible etc.

Alright, I'll probably regret posting this, but I'm having trouble starting as well. Made sure I had the latest oglib downloaded and automatic plugin downloads disabled. I'm also fairly certain I have all the graphics related things correct (tile, zoom out, clock). Script starts in Simba, but nothing outputs in SMART.

Well from what I have found old school doesnt work at all. I use it in resizable and a modified version of what's in this video:

Try that and see if it works for you, it works fine for me with that setup.

The issue I do have is that if it takes a pBreak while it has produce in the inventory and then the farm cycles, it wont recognize that it already has produce in the inv and it will continuously spam click the produce box to get more so for now I have opted to not use produce.

I have tried a multitude of different setups at this point, including outright copying the setups shown in the videos (so I could be absolutely certain I wasn't modifying it too much). I did notice that the SMART window in the video is more square compared to the SMART window that appears upon starting the script, but I doubt that's the issue.
I'm really starting to think it has to do with how I have OGL files installed or something of this nature. I haven't quite lost hope yet. There's no way I'm doing Livid Farm legitimately for the comp cape req.

Got it working thanks to the expertise of Obscurity! And I must say, it's working flawlessly now. Will be posting a proggy soon...


*EDIT* Totally forgot to save a proggy, but I had it running for 9 hours on multiple occasions before I manually stopped it. I actually never had an error using this script, it's about as stable as they come.

Script is having trouble identifying the proper strain of livid for curing the plants for me. Continuously clicks to cure and then picks the wrong strain and just repeats that until the next cycle starts. Once a new cycle starts it usually figures out the right strain the next time but any idea why its having this problem?

All models are drawn in a specific order based on your player position and camera angle.

The livids on the interface are also models, not textures. So, if more than 4 livid models are detected, the interface is open and it should select an option.

With Livid Farm, the livid plants always appear in the same position on the interface. Say, 123,456,789,999. So if I click to cure plant the first plant that's drawn and it happens to be 456, I know to press 2.

The only reason it would choose the incorrect plant is if your camera or player position changes after selecting which livid to cure, making it choose the wrong option.



Is this the case?

I re-did my interface to more closely resemble the one in the video and now it runs fine so it was most likely cause by what you said.

Once you get it working its pretty stable, but fixing the fences is counterproductive, you get less produce per hour when you have it on :3

I dont see how you would get less points/hr I finish the entire cycle with time to spare and it ends up sitting there waiting for the next one.. Ill try it out tho

guess im too fucking stupid to make this script work. the old one doesnt work. the new one will not open. no where does it tell me how to add ezform or pro shocks. wasted 2 hours really sucks.

I'm having a hard time getting the script to run. Everything has been downloaded and re-downloaded, automatic plugin updates have also been disabled. Everything loads up perfectly fine but nothing happens much like the kid on the first page was saying. I have followed the setup correctly.

If i manually cure a plant the camera angle will change as if the script is trying to do something but nothing ever happens afterwards.

Not as stupid as I am :p

I think it reverted back to DX when I went back to client between attempts.


P.S. This script is a workhorse. Easily one of the best I have ever used.

Just be careful with it. Livid is watched like a hawk. Take breaks and do stuff between.

same issue here :( On openGL mode, zoomed out, on the correct spot like in the OP, just says "pbreak" in the simba client

Are you on resizeable mode? Preferably use a similar setup as in the OP.

So after posting my initial question, i decided to run the script to see what would happen. It worked well to my astonishment. ran it for about an hour. next day i go to run it, same problem. The script clicks outside the farm and is broken again. I am in resizeable mode. Tried changing the layout and hopping multiple worlds to no avail. are there certain variables that jagex has changed that would render the script inoperative?

I just figured it out... I kept resizing the minimap until it finally worked. the threshold is very low.
