Major global repercussions.

Anyone with an economics background know what's gonna happen? I really don't know who buys treasury bonds and why you would, considering interest rate you get elsewhere. Guess USA wants to incentivise saving, or now that everyone has a home loan, get them to pay more? I really don't see buying a house as a good option, especially in the age of volatile interest rates.

US-China trade war begins to thaw as new tariffs halted
A trade deal between the two countries could be agreed within 90 days, as the head of the IMF urges de-escalation over tensions.
China and the United States have agreed to halt new tariffs, as the two countries aim to reach a trade agreement within 90 days, the White House has said.

US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks in Argentina in an attempt to thaw the trade war between their countries that has rumbled on throughout 2018.

Mr Trump has reaffirmed his commitment not to boost tariffs on $200bn of Chinese goods to 25% on 1 January.
