i5-4460
R9 280x
16 gb RAM

I like this build a lot, managed to get the parts for a good deal. I also managed to get 8 of the 16GB from a friend, so that's nice too.

I previously used a MacBook with Bootcamp, integrated graphics, and pretty meh specs. Saved up and upgraded to:

Intel Core i7-5960X
16GB RAM
3 x Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti in SLI mode
500GB SSD, 8TB Disk Storage
Dell 4k monitor

Lot of fun for gaming in 4K with good fps :) great for running multiple bots too.

Thats a ridiculous setup man. Can I ask how much everything was including your case and any extra cooling for your PC? I'm looking to upgrade soon and have been saving up money for an above average build such as yours. :D

i7 930, 2.8ghz OC to 3.4 with ~45-48C temp under load (i recently upgraded to watercooling, these numbers are so low! they used to be on avg 60-70+...)
6GB DDR3 RAM
GeForce GTX 750TI
4TB of Storage

Someone donate to me some more RAM, as I could use at least another 12! :D

I have an idea for a thread ... what's the CRAZIEST program (game, intensive application, whatever) that you've gotten to run on a machine below the minimum specs.

For instance, something you were NOT expecting the computer to be able to run, but just tried it out -- and it actually worked.

An example would be the time I got Warcraft III running on a HP Mini 1000 (http://i.imgur.com/0b6jsRM.png) (at playable fps!)

Just a simple build right now, will be getting a better processor and redoing the graphics setup soon.
