Hey folks, I'm in the market for a new monitor.
You'd be hard pressed to convince me to go with a brand other than Samsung to be honest, its been my go-to for as long as I can remember and they have in my opinion the nicest panels around.
With that in mind I was super interested in their new 49" CHG90.

Yeah perhaps its a bit much, I realize that, but I am replacing a duel-monitor setup. I just have one major issue with this display...the resolution is only 1280p.
The cheaper 32" CHG70 however is 1440p.

To summarize;
Option #1 (https://villavu.com/forum/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=1)
49" 32:9 Ultrawide
1280p (3840 X 1080)
Option #2 (https://villavu.com/forum/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=2)
32" 16:9
1440p (2560 x 1440)
Beyond that they are identical across all of my necessary specs (HDR support, 1800R curvature, low response time and 144hz).
Money/value is not in consideration, I am speaking strictly to which panel would be a better quality replacement for my current duel-monitor 1440p setup.
Would love some of your input and viewpoints! Cheers!
EDIT:
To be clear, my real question is whether or not 1080p from a vertical standpoint will feel lackluster compared to 1440p. Keeping in mind thanks to the 32:9 ratio that option-1 has 4K-standard (3840) horizontal pixels.
Im also open to other suggestions but HDR, 144hz and 1ms or less response time are quite important to me.
