7 Golden rules of SRL autoing

Rule #1.

Respect Jagex.

This community respects Jackex. We enjoy playing their game, not for the game, but for the intellectual challenge. We play somewhat different than legitimite players, but we try to act natural. :)

Rule #2.

Make sure you have more than 20 players.

Tutorial Island only takes about 5 minutes to finish. It will take you 4 hours. Try making them in batches of 6, thats only 30 minutes. Give them proper names. I have an alphabetical Army. 1. Archedroitu 2. Bastrekopon 3. Chnakdria etc.

Rule #3.

Switch players once every half hour.

Switching players once every 30-50 minutes drastically reduces the amount of Randoms you will encounter. You will hardly get any.

Rule #4.

Cherish your players.

Treat your players with respect, treat them as individuals. They are your Army, they work for you. Don't leave them unattended.


Rule #5.

Break out of every loop.

Endless loop are strictly forbidden. Build failsafes into ALL your loops. Preferably:

repeat
If not Loggedin then Break;
until (false);Why? Because we dont want our program to "hang" when we wake up, return from school or work


Rule #6.

Use the regular client and always auto unsigned.

Make sure you get a unique UID each period you auto.


Rule #7.

Try to stay online 24/7.

This is my favourite rule. Just love those 24 hour reports.

Or if you use the unsigned applet you can get a new one every time you open a world :)

technically, the unsigned client throws a few exceptions and ends up sending a "0" to jagex when you use it, so we could probably get by with making a uid.dat with simply a "0" in it and be undetected (as jagex would just see it as using the unsigned client)

this method is untested as of yet, but somthing that we should test, perhaps auto safely on a few accounts, and very blatently on another one (use the 0 uid for all) and when the blatently autoed one gets banned we would see if the others got banned too? ;) :D

you could, but in the apartment I just moved to I have 4 unsecured wireless connections all with highspeed cable I can connect to at any time, so it doesnt matter for me ;) :D

Does amount of randoms u get on all players depends on UID.dat? If u using like 10 players with same UID you will be getting same amount of randoms as using 1 player. Even if u switch players every 30min u still be getting randoms.

Basically, for those who don't know this is everything you want to know about uid.dat and all the files jagex store on your pc ;)

* = wildcard (aka any character)


uid.dat - (UserID) this is where jagex store all the data about yourself for communication between different client windows and check for patterns in your user usage to try to take down your army, as well as recording your ip address and login data (excluding passwords).

Jagex uses this file mainly to check your not "self trading" (where you trade using 2 clients open at once) as each client checks that some on isn't already logged from your network ip. However, this can be cicumvented by clikc the login on each window VERY fast on each client window.

Found in [Lowest-Drive-Letter]\WINDOWS\jagex_cahche_32\

random.dat - this is an essential file that details your previous randoms with your current user. It cannot be deleted or rewritten as the client maintains full access rights to the file.

main_file_cache*.dat* - stores the actual data downloaded from the signed applet - interfaces, music, images ect.

main_file_cach*.idx255 - index for the main_file_cache*.dat*.

cache--*******.dat - another cache file, specifically for updates.


THIS IS THE INTERESTING BIT: As you can see, the evil file here is uid.dat. Here you are faced with a dilemma - should you use the unsigned and be safe or use the signed and benefit from quick loading. NOW YOU CAN HAVE BOTH.

You have probably heard of ScarScape. It is a client which stops north changes and colour changes (all colours are perfect hexs) and does many other things including being a signed applet without making the uid.dat. It is the solution to all your problems. You used to have to pay for it but now it is FREE (he didn't sell any - $50 is too much).

I tried this but while the (signed, haven't tried unsigned) runescape game is running it is accessing the files so you cannot access them to delete them with scar. Even if you go back to the main page you still have a file access error. The only way around this is to close the client and open it again... but that would just get annoying and I'm not sure how it would work out... So I just delete the UID.dat file before and after getting on my main. I also use a
program called Tor to reroute my IP adress through several different servers. Even though some java could access your IP anyway, tor seems to work for runescape because while logging on I have never seen my real IP.


P.S. Anyone know if the ScarScape bit from the guy above me is true... Just sounds odd.

The UID.dat is a file that contains a random number, when a computer connects to runescape and it hasn't got a UID, it gets one with a random number. They use it to track down your main. If your auto accounts get caught on say IP: 0.0.0.12 and UID 435 and you logged on on your main at the same IP and UID, thay will ban your main too. This can be avoided by always deleting it. Be sure to use the windows seeking program to find it, as the location may change.

Firefox. It's faster, more efficient, has a better customizable look, and is just overall better.

Get fasterfox with it too, it speeds it up by a lot.

Let me try and answer all your questions one by one:)

1. Forget UID.dat...the file is called Random.dat. It is found in
C:\WINDOWS\.jagex_cache_32 Just delete that after every autoing session;)

2. Unsigned means there will not be any file downloaded to your computer, that means there wont be any random.dat to delete and Jagex can't spy on you:D

3. Unsigned client can be found in the detail select screen (Scroll down and find Signed Applet Using Deafult Java (Recommended)). Click the drop down menu and click Unsigned Applet Using Default Java. And you are done;)

4. ScarScape is not updated so its not safe to auto on it. I would rather recommend you use SCSS (Shite Compared to ScarScape):p It is found in

C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.14\includes\SRL\SCSS

5.You don't need firefox, just use the Normal Runescape client:duh:

6. That report is with WT-Fakawi's Goblin fighter 'Gobbiez'. It can be found in the free for all scripts section.

7. Before Autoing go and read 'How to auto ' in the tutorial island

8. 10-15 players are fine but remember, the more players you use, the less chance of getting banned;)

fakawi just likes to see 24 hours proggies if you have an account on for 6 hours one on for anyother 6 and then another one on for 6 AND one more on for 6 hours then then i dont think they will catch you

the thing about 20 accounts is you can leave it on for maybe two weeks with a script that doesnt get randoms

You can run multiple scripts at once with the addition of SMART or VMs, Jagex can probably detect these things, BUT you can say my ISP gave me a static IP so all the computers in my house have the same IP address.

I really think the best thing to do is to add mods to your friends list and make friends with them. The friendlier you are, the less they suspect ;)

There was this one mod, me and him used to go mining together... I was on my lv3(no, not a default, TY) automining away with my Rune pick and he never said anything. I just talked to him as I was doin the stuff... Great guy I gotta say ;D

In windows you can force a new one by deleting (may change depending on your computer but you can search for UID.dat :)):
C:/windows/.file_store_32/UID.dat
Or if you use the unsigned applet you can get a new one every time you open a world :)

Rule #1.

Respect Jagex.

This community respects Jackex. We enjoy playing their game, not for the game, but for the intellectual challenge. We play somewhat different than legitimite players, but we try to act natural. :)

Rule #2.

Make sure you have more than 20 players.

Tutorial Island only takes about 5 minutes to finish. It will take you 4 hours. Try making them in batches of 6, thats only 30 minutes. Give them proper names. I have an alphabetical Army. 1. Archedroitu 2. Bastrekopon 3. Chnakdria etc.

Rule #3.

Switch players once every half hour.

Switching players once every 30-50 minutes drastically reduces the amount of Randoms you will encounter. You will hardly get any.

Rule #4.

Cherish your players.

Treat your players with respect, treat them as individuals. They are your Army, they work for you. Don't leave them unattended.


Rule #5.

Break out of every loop.

Endless loop are strictly forbidden. Build failsafes into ALL your loops. Preferably:

repeat
If not Loggedin then Break;
until (false);Why? Because we dont want our program to "hang" when we wake up, return from school or work


Rule #6.

Use the regular client and always auto unsigned.

Make sure you get a unique UID each period you auto.


Rule #7.

Try to stay online 24/7.

This is my favourite rule. Just love those 24 hour reports.

It's spam, with a bit of sense. To answer your question, yes. Why? Because then you don't auto on one account for ages; the time is more spread out; less bannage.

There are programs that can turn off your laptop's monitor when you press on the keyboard or move your mouse. Are there any programs that you can set the keyboard buttons that will turn on your laptop's monitor when pressed?(like Ctrl+Alt+M). Because, if you are running scripts, the mouse pointer will move all time, so the monitor will turn on.

well im sorry to say but it would be impossible, see how ar you get though. No why its impossible because runescape updates itself. You would need a script which reloads the page every 10 days or whatever, and patiently wait for runescape to load. I wonder what the longest proggy ever is??

i have been using srl for like 6 months now, personally i dont understand rule number two. wats the points of a TWENTY man army, surely you wouldnt gain many levels and it would be hard to get them all at decent combat levels so that jagex doesnt suspect autoiing? and if you use scripts for profit in runescape how do you transfer money from 20 different accounts. possibly playing with an army of five characters is enough?

Just a quick question, how exactly do you use an unsigned game window? I used to know how to use one before Runescape got updated, but now it just pushes you into the game window screen without giving you any real options.
