This is probably something that all scripters know but it is very helpful and will only be helpful if you script:

you can use the disguise scar procedure which will rename scar to whatever you want
-or-
put Si.scar as an include and then after the main part of the script you do this;

begin
LoadInclude('iTunes');
blah;
blah;
end.

this will change the Scar program name to iTunes or you can change iTunes to whatever
NOTE* this only works if you have Si.scar or if you create a procedure to do that

Theres a RandomDisguise procedure i made in SRL.. So it's there if anyone wants to use it.

why bother? why does it have to be re-named, Jagex Can't see it, it would be a breach of prvacy

well if you havent noticed.. theres also a procedure called Disguise!

Disguise('iTinyTunes');

yeah, if you had even taken a simple glance at the srl manual, you would have known that...

Maybe they do, but not telling us :P And there is no way to tell if they're doing that but I would use disguise just in case ;-)

They can't use it as evidence to ban you, I mean common, you could MAKE a program called SCAR and name it somthing weird, like:

Secret Calenders Are Ridiculed. (SP on most :P)

heh, i might use that as a sig.. "secret calenders are ridiculed" :D

anyways there would be a major lawsuit if someone found evidence that jagex were looking at processes or taskbar names..

They can use whatever they want as evidence to ban you. They don't even need evidence. *looks around*
It's like the government. We're all gonna die!

There was rumor of jagex looking at your task bar a while ago. The guys at RSCN followed up the research with the newer scriptdump crew. They leaned towards 'jagex is within the law.' I highly doubt Jagex would do something so stupid. They know how many people, such as ourselves, are out to get them. They know how smart you guys are. With how many people play the game, that has to be a last resort. They obviously have other methods of detection.

It'd be an interesting job; Observing taskbars.

Observer2: "Scar.. Runescape.. Mozzilla.. Porn.. Hardcore Porn.. Incest.. Outside Porn.. Major Porn.. Porn Club.. PornUsers.. PornAddicts.."

I've never seen anything like that in the client. A process listing would require JNI calling CreateToolhelp32Snapshot (or some other WinAPI, dunno about *nix/Mac) and I certainly haven't installed any Jagex DLLs recently.

not only that but if you use the unsigned client (which I always use) they couldnt do it even if they wanted to, because it runs in a sandbox ;) :D

Like they care with giving us evidence we cheated - Ban and goodbye. They say they don't want to give it away because we might see how they check on us :o. I did appeal on one account to give me proof I cheated, they were like we can't reveal informations on our macro system which is 100% flawless.. something like that

There macro detection system sucks.

ALL they really would have is all accounts flagged, and looking for suspicious behaviour but then, PLEASE explain how I managed to use ghostmouse for 10+ hours at a time a few months ago. ^.^

Actually, the function that disguises SCAR is

program new;

procedure Disguise;
begin
DisguiseSCAR('Whattodiguisehere')
end;

begin
Disguise;
end.
