Hey all... when i go to download the SRL 3.8 or 3.81 it ends up giving me a file in my folder that looks like:

and when i open with notepad it shows this:

Of coaurse it's html... but when i turn the file into a .html it shows a SRL forum page, requests me to log in, then it gives the same download as before...
any ideas???

You need an extractor I'm guessing... or you can just download through Divi...

Well you've somehow downloaded the code for the page, and not the file lol. Maybe the download button or something is stuffing up, but this sometimes happened to me on my site when making some changes to the code, if I messed up on one line or something it would download the page instead of parse it. I'm talking about PHP, not html btw but this site uses PHP anyway.

umm... I used your link... otherwise i wouldn't be nearly this far... thank you for the tutorial btw... and i have both winrar and winzip so... i don't think i need an extractor :\ nice guess though...

when i follow the link... it takes me to the exact same download and asks me if i want to overwrite the file that i've already downloaded...

Do you have some kind of superfirewall? From what I see you got some problems with the HTTP Headers.
Try to install it from within Scar: File, Download SRL.

The scar thing isn't working... i click it, and it says nothing in the bottom screen... leave it for 30 minutes and no progress bar or text comes up... any other ideas?

I use Mcaffe firewall btw... so... if it's super... DAAAAAAAMN!!! get that stuff!!

You know, there doesn't need to be a long discussion about this. Your browser is downloading the php page for the actual download. Find a direct link, or have someone upload it so you can ddl it.

Ok... figured out the issue...

DAP download accelerater was downloading the information from the web page because it was a .php... DAP accelerater apparently only recognizes .html/.htm files as html files... all others it feels that it must download first to get the understanding of the page... then it never finds the download link you clicked after that...

Yes, download accelerators will do that for you, like for links on RapidShit and Megafuckload.
