Java Problem :( help please?

I recently uninstalled java and reinstalled java again but there was a problem and after the reinstall no java programs would open like .JAR files.

I have looked in my C drive and java is there and all the other thing inside the java folder.

I was wondering how i could get windows to recognise a .JAR file so that it would open it correctly?

Windows can't open .jar files without special programs. I'm not sure if windows and can open .jar files period. Java was made for linux and loses some capabilities on windows.

.jar files should run fine under windows.

If you want to see what's inside them, though, you gotta use a program like winrar, though.

Well, MoparScape was a .jar file...All you need is JRE, or Java Runtime Enviroment, and maybe the JSDK...Oh, and make sure that WinRAR isn't opening it; when set up, WinRAR will make it where the extension .jar is opened by it, rather than by itself, using the JRE.
