View Full Version : Why it's good to use a different email for money-making websites

Don't worry, this is a seperate account from my usual one. BTW, in the subject, it says 'Don Wilson'. That isn't my name - I made a fake one.
EDIT: This is over about 2 weeks or so - after a week or two I delete all the mail.

It's not just money-making pyramid scheme websites. Having your email published online (which I have done, a *lot*) immediately opens it up for spambots to harvest and use your email. My freyyr890@gmail.com address ranks in upwards of thirty spam emails a day, yet the gmail filter gets them all, and I've never had a false positive.

As for AOL... AOL sucks. If that's your ISP, seriously consider changing. You'll save a lot of hassle and money for it.

AOL isn't my ISP (I'd kill myself w/ dial-up). I've got MSN/Verison.
