Compatibility Issues
x and y. We Removed the Global Variables x and y, since they caused much internal trouble.
Just put var x,y:Integer at the top of your script if it complains.

But the error is "duplicate identifier" =/
If you get a 'duplicate identifier', it is most likely you are using an outdated script ;)

No, wouldn't it be an "unknown identifier"? Because in the old SRL, you didn't have to declare x and y in your scripts, which would now make an unknown identifier, not a duplicate identifier.
Ok, so if you have any questions regarding errors with "X" in your script...Please refer them to bullzeye95 (http://www.srl-forums.com/forum/member.php?u=960) ;)

ROFL nevermind :p
I was just wondering why people were getting that with SRL 4. It doesn't make sense.
Maybe I will contemplate it more later...just trying to "clean up" a bit right now...so many repetitive questions...

Well, the global x and y were removed from Globals, all functions now use local x and y, but sometimes scripts uses SRL's global x and y. :)

He changed the title. It was "SRL 4 Error Duplicate identifier 'x' in script". I was wondering how that was possible.
Anyways, whatever :p

because they use a srl 4 script with x and y at the top at the script
and they use srl 3.81 so you dont need to put x and y at the top thats why dup id ;)
