dtms, bitmaps watever!

hi first of all can anyone explain me whats the difference between dtm and bmps?

bmps is like a picture u get right? and dtms are pictures u get too right?
so whats the difference, what are they used for?

can dtms or bmps be used to walk on minimap like when there are no symbol and no radialwalk etc. can it be used to walk like to find something like a house or a grass part??

because if it can can anyone make a great tut about it because i cant find good ones( for noobs like me in dtm or bmp knowledge ).

and if dtms or bmps can find a picture and click on it in minimap i ask my self '' rs always change colors, when u logout and even the coords change a bit so how can a dtm be always found if it always change colors!!??''

dtms are points on pictures, so using the color of the point and how far away it is from the other points it can be found again, amnd u can have tolerance on ur points(not all colors change u know)

a bitmap is a picture.

u can use both for walking

so basically a btmpo is allot more data, as it has color infomration for every point.

a dtm can work wiht only three points, and therefore if made correctly, can work much faster.

with scar divi you can now use DDTMs (dynamic dtms) which can give you allot more flexability in what you search for.

DTMs and possibly DDTMs but i think u should just stick with DTM s for now(+ plus DDTMs arent practical for all walking)

Yes they are but they tend to change in the minimap as you proably already know.
