View Full Version : I Must Suck At This..

Here is my dilemma, basically I suck at using Scar :duh:

Maybe it's my computer, maybe it's the way I installed it, maybe it's the way i configured it, but I can't get this to work.

Back when RSC was around for all to play I used multiple different auto programs without much difficulty, but when it came to Scar, even back then, I was never successful.

As it stands right now, I've spent about 8-9 hours of solid work over the last two days trying to run different auto mining scripts. I haven't gotten a single mining script to run and the only script that has ever run anything was a auto Varrok Walker (my char never did make it to Varr). Each time I find a solution to one problem another one rises. Whether the error is Line 67: [Error] (7078:1): Unknown identifier 'ChangeFPHandle' or Line 128: [Error] (12411:29): Unknown identifier 'x' or Line 29: [Error] (29:1): Unknown identifier 'RoadColor' there is always something wrong. I've looked at countless different auto mining scripts, re-downloaded Scar and SRL, dled more includes other then the ones that come with SRL, and even resorted to messing with the scripts myself. I've read most of the tutorials around but nothing seems to be working.

Gah.. After all of that I guess some help would be very appreciated. If you want to ask me some more specific questions about the problems I'm having then feel free to ask. Thanks for any help you can give.

EDIT: After all this I realise I've posted in the wrong forums.. Ugh. If some Mod could move this to the correct forum it would be much appreciated.

And if you have Scar 3.11 and SRL 4 maybe your script isnt updated to be compatible with SRL 4

For the ChangeFPHandle thing - If you're running vista (which is probably the reason you're getting that error), you have to right click on SCAR and click run as administrator, that should fix that error.

Don't forget to put the plugins on your plugin folder!

I belive lots of those errors appear because of wrong includes or versions of includes or just outdated scripts. Make sure that the scripts you are using are compatible with the includes you got or vice versa.

one of those annoying scripts been doing that to me for a while
just make sure u do all the things the person who posted the script says (eg download the right version, installin it right, put the right info in etc)
oh yer it'd always help jus askin the script writer why it doesn't work
afterall its their script
