The SRL Wiki is, in my opinion, one of the best ways to learn something new in scripting whether you are just starting out or just need to brush up on a few things. It is a very essential tool to all scripters and is rarely used: 1. Because most people don't know its there 2. Because people don't understand how to use it. That is what this tutorial is for

Introduction

The SRL Wiki is a database of scripting knowledge submitted by various different users. This is good because it's like a super tutorial. It covers so many important topics ad maybe some not so important ones. As stated before, the main problem is that most users don't know it exists. Therefore we will start with getting to the Wiki. Getting to the SRL Wiki is very simple.

Go to the forum main page
At the very top on the left side, there is a navigation menu. Follow this from the top down until you find SRL Wiki.
Click it You are now in the SRL Wiki!

** If this doesn't work for you, you can't find something, or it doest make sense, you could always go here: SRL Wiki (http://wiki.srl-forums.com/index.php/Main_Page)

Congratulations! You are viewing, if not the best, one of the best SRL/Scar super tutorials ever created :D

Short Overview

If you are at the SRL Wiki now, take a second to scroll up and down on the main page. You will find a list of topics on the right and some of the more popular links on the center of the page. Here is the description of the SRL Wiki from the SRL Wik

This is the SRL WIKI encyclopedia, assembled by the SRL-Community. It is the everything - you - always - wanted - to - know - about - SRL - but - never - dare - to - ask an encyclopedia. Contributing / Editting

Here is the article from the SRL Wiki - Help On Editting (http://wiki.srl-forums.com/index.php/Help:Editing)

Make sure that you submit information which is relevant to the specific purpose of the wiki, or your content might be deleted. You can always use the talk pages to ask questions or check to see if your idea will be accepted. Please make note of the license your contributions will be covered with.To start editing a MediaWiki page, click the Edit this page (or just edit) link at one of its edges. This brings you to the edit page: a page with a text box containing the wikitext - the editable code from which the server produces the finished page. If you just want to experiment, please do so in the sandbox, not here. You can just type your text. However, also using basic wiki markup (described in the next section) to make links and do simple formatting adds to the value of your contribution. Wikimedia wikis have style guidelines available. If you follow these, your contributions will be more valuable as they won't need to be cleaned up later.Write a short edit summary in the small field below the edit-box. You may use shorthand to describe your changes, as described in the edit summary legend. When you have finished, click Show preview to see how your changes will look before you make them permanent. Repeat the edit/preview process until you are satisfied, then click Save page and your changes will be immediately applied to the article.

Pwn I think this is a great tut to have, because people can find so many answers in the wiki and they don't even think to look there. Nice job :)

Wikis are a great thing and it's unfortunate that this one isn't used more. Good tutorial, though. I learned a bit from it.
