I can't script.

I've been around since long before Kaitnieks was shut down, but I can't script. I know I'll become a Junior Member if I'm active, and be able to access more on the site, but I doubt I'll be able to write anything good enough to gain full membership status. As a junior member, will I have access to enough of the site to bother continuing to use it?

I didn't know jack about scripting, but I still liked the community. Then he shut the site down and linked to another forum. I went there like everybody else, became a mod. I missed what exactly happened, but something big happened and they closed registration. I couldn't log in anymore. After that I just stopped playing runescape and stopped being involved in anything scripting related. I came across runescape the other day and was wondering what had happened since I left, and that's how I ended up here.

Look, believe what you will, but I've tried learning several different coding languages, and the best I can do is simple HTML. Something doesn't click. I just don't get it, and that's not something I'm used to. Maybe it's the ADD, maybe it's not. But it's true nonetheless.

I never intended to use this thread as a preemptive excuse - I only made it to ask a specific question (which people seem very willing to ignore).

Honestly, do I sound like your average leecher? English isn't even my first language, for god's sake. Loosen up and try to be reasonable. As of yet, I've done nothing to show I'm a completely useless user who only wants to gain access to scripts then leave. ok, sorry for the complete turn-around in viewpoint, but i just remembered the troubles i had when first learning scripting(probably because i had exactly the same problems)

if you are experiencing the same thing i did, i can help a fair bit in that regards, as someone who has been through it before.
tell me: what parts do you find hardest to figure out?
if im right, it will be the variables. im guessing you can do simple writeln scripts, but you have alot of trouble understanding the concept of different variables.

this affects me as well, to this date i have never used a form, for a few reasons.
mostly because they are innefficient and produce alot of lag
but also because i have never learnt the different types of variables asociated(oh god my spelling is bad at 2am in the morning) with them.


i wrote a scripting tutorial a while ago that caters specifically for people with that problem.
if you ARE experiencing similar problems to what i had, post again here, and ill re-write my tutorial
if you have completely different problems, nevermind that i said anything :P

My trouble is seeing the sequence of events. I can use scripting functions separately, but I can't use them together to make it work. That's when my ADD kicks in, and I find I can't concentrate on figuring it out any longer (the same thing happens to me with math).
