need help with vista

every single script i download DOES NOT work with vista, but then when i use the EXACT same scar 3.11 folder and the exact same script, they seem to work on xp. Is this a bug with SRL? perhaps someone could update SRL4 to be compatiable with vista because i can only run scripts overnight and while at school when on my vista laptop and i cant!
my xp computer is used by my mum and she complains when i leave things on

State your exact problems, it might not be by Vista (You never know).

Use SRL 4 and SCAR 3.12 on both computers. Run the EXACT same script (Not even a semicolon-change).

havent i already explained that i use the EXACT SAME FILE?!

i installed scar 3.11 to c:\dannymet (on my vista laptop) then installed srl4 to that too
THEN i downloaded the scipt and ran it through this scar (on vista)
it didnt work

i copy the SAME scar 3.11 file and the SAME script through my network into my other computer (xp) then test the script and it works perfectly

edit: heavy metal is for goths :)


edit again: ill test your script (netter) on my laptop now and post what error it comes up with

If something won't work on Vista that works on XP, it's a SCAR problem, not a SRL problem

SCAR will not officially support Vista for a long time, if ever. Freddy doesn't have Vista, nor does he plan on getting it in the near future.

I had the same problem, u only have to right click your scar icon and 'run as administator' then it normally will work.
(U have to run it as an administator every time u want to use scar)

Run SCAR as administrator, and use SubVersion to download the newest SRL. (Dark-Sniper made a tut for this).

Yes you do. If you keep getting the "Are you sure you want to run this thingy" or "You must be admin to download or w/e" Its best you put run as admin.

i tried runnign as an amdinistrator, it didnt work, for the script i tested its wizzups excellent miner, it works on xp, but on vista it just walks to aubury then lags a hell of a load then runescape just autologs out...

"run as administrator" solved my problem.

your scar and srl might HAVE TO BE the problem.
there is no other option with the info you're giving =[

download and reinstall everything on your vista computer.
and try again...

Run as administrator works fine.
Deleting it all wouldn't help the least, since Vista would still be Vista, and SCAR still SCAR.
Please stop telling people to redownload it all, since it rarely does the trick.

i think he meant reinstall SCAR. my Vista computer works fine, even though i have to 'run as administrator'

Right... my guide only works if you're actually getting error messages and physically can't run scripts :\. If you're just lagging... then I don't know, sorry.
