View Full Version : Troubles with Scar 3.12..

Okay,
This is going to sound really noobish. [Which is really what I am anyways..] I'm newish to SRL forums, well created an account ages ago and school took over my time, and here I am trying to learn, but the first step to learning is downloading the right things. :confused:

I've downloaded the Subversion and setup file and ran it, and it is installed and working. But, I download the .exe setup file for SCAR 3.12 and it says "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program." I have also re-downloaded it and re-tried, but still not working. :fiery:


Help to my problem is greatly appreciated if I can get it..


EDIT: Is this happening for anyone else? If it did how did you solve the problem? If you couldn't solve it come and sit in the corner with me..

Have you got any anitivirus running? As that may be deleting vital parts of SCAR. If so Disable your antivirus when using SCAR or downloading it. =D

@Sk8, No, even with my Anti-virus programs off the file still ends up corrupted, thanks for the positive input though :)


Can anyone help me here?

otherwise are you sure you don't have any firewalls or anything going? because sometimes they will pick scar up as a trojan because of the auto typer commands or something..

Yes, my firewalls are down, my anti-virus programs are off. Many times I've tried but still the file is corrupted.

Well this same problem occured for me when I did not have Subversion. So may I suggest you re-download and install this and then try again. Hope that helps you :D

@Koolman, yeah, I've tried that heaps of times, but still no good result. Did you save it under any specific path or move it somewhere or extract it to anywhere etc etc?


@Runekid, I'm not quite sure what you mean.. I can't run the Scar 3.12 setup file so I don't have a program file at the moment..
