Install Problems

I have installed as per http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17890
I have now done it 3 times uninstalled and installed
When i goto options on scar and click on checkout i get a very quick error message and hard to read saying SVN PROFIND request fail on srl-repos and then another line saying unable to connect to server <http://www.srl-forums.com. Then another comes up saying can not move plugins from SRL folder to plugins folder. Also when i goto the srl folder then click on file there is nowhere on the drop down that says

What am i doing wrong someone please help. I am using XPSP2 and used http://subversion.tigris.org/files/documents/15/39559/svn-1.4.5-setup.exe to setup and installed the Scar Divi from freddys site.

Your firewall might be stopping it connecting to the internet, so it's having problems working. So, check your firewall. If that doesn't work uninstall SCAR and SRL 4, restart your computer, and try again.

yea it could be because of a firewall blocking it.

i allow it full access have uninstalled and reinstalled 6-7 times now cant get the drop down box to look like the one above either

Only 3.12 is able to install SVN. His is installed. So like said above it must just be your firewall. What do you use for yours? SVN might have a tut on their site on how to configure some firewalls to allow it. I've seen it done with other programs but I'm not sure if SVN has it.

It's seem like you have confuse the firewall in Windows and firewall in scar

I don't think it would be the SCAR Firewall. I had no problems with it and it has only ever blocked scripts and script components trying to access the internet, not components of SCAR. So I think its his computers firewall, may it be the windows one, Zone Alarms, Norton, etc. There is probably someone or something somewhere to tell you how to set it to allow SVN to connect to the server. You probably will just need to add the port it using and the ip of the server to you firewall's allow list.
