get a XP desktop, laptops overheat if you leave them on for to long, and desktops usually have more memory then a laptop :)

Sorry man, but friends don't let friends use vista. Desktop cuz laptops are aids and fail.

vista has limited compatibility, uses a ton of resources, and is still pretty buggy atm. i would go with XP.

i recomend vista desktop get it with blutooth and get a bluetooth headset for voice typing

Vista's bad. Dell's worse.

Get a HP or Sony desktop with XP (if you can't get w/ XP, go with Vista then downgrade)

Laptop, mate, laptop :)

Laptop, with XP. Might even wanna consider downgrading to TinyXP. Lot smaller and more resource friendly.

An HP w/ XP is the way to go! HP's are great and xp is great (vista sucks and laptops are more expensive than desktops.) IMO

I have a Dell Laptop, with Windows Vista. I'm running fine, except for the fact that my computer sometimes likes to freeze for about 20-30 seconds.

^you should put what the poll is for in the poll name, my suggestion at least
becuase computer, could just be what computer you have, which is what i thought it was till i scrolled down and saw that you posted what kind of computer should i get

in the long run vista is probably better, and it costs alot of money to upgrade to vista, but curretnly alot of stuff doesnt work for it, and it requires alot of RAM, but overall its better in the long run

Vista really if u want to auto with 3 vms+ and have little internet lag ( ping)

And wtf why are people calling me silly?! TinyXP owns as main OS!

I recommend getting an XP desktop. There are a few small stores here that build their computers themselves and give you total control over the configuration. I suggest going to that kind of store as they are generally cheaper too, and got great service.
