Yeah, you'll save a LOT of resources doing that. But the problem is that TinyXP has a lot of things (like drivers etc.) removed. I saw somewhere earlier that you can install those drivers, but I'm not sure about that.

Wow really? Hmm, I got this REALLY slow computer w/ Windows 98. It has a 2GB Hard Drive and I think 256MB ram. I'm going to install TinyXP on that :) Won't be able to macro though, no internet for it. But still thanks for brining that idea to my head :p

I have TinyXP as my host and I love the hell out of it. I haven't found a driver yet that a full windows would have but Tiny doesn't. Haven't had any problems with it besides using the Save System RAM app because I would turn too many things off and it would dick with my internet.

i ran VMware with two macros the performance improvement was 40%+ over vista. though an efficient script is still key to how many macros you can run. my script is not at all efficient. every time it does something it takes 1/3 of my cpu and thats not good. I'm currently working on optimizing it.

I'm using TinyXP in a dual boot (xp and tinyxp) and it works fine :)
When I only need to get fast on the internet -> TinyXP, else normal xp :)
I used TinyXP on my old Pentium 133MHz and it still works - i can use it to go to the Internet and play simple games. If you can configure it right, then it can take only 30MB of RAM - usual XP takes about 300MB.
As mentioned, there isn't any drivers included, so be prepared.
