How come I've never heard of Demonoid if you say it's so absolutely outstanding? I only ever used PirateBay for the 2 (maybe 3?) torrents I've ever used, though... I guess it's sad, so I hold 1 minutes silence. No wait, I already took 50 minutes silence, I'm alone in my room in front of my computer... Damn nerdism!

You know what you can't blame this all on the Canadians ("us"...I consider myself French even though I live in Canada -.-) It was the admins of demonoid who posted on other sites encouraging users to proxy. They even post indepth tutorials on how to. So they brought this upon themselves in my opinion.

This is crazy! Demonoid was HUGE! I remember the day I finally was able to sign up... I was sending invites out to all of my friends :D Yes, but this is sad. It just doesn't seem like this is the end to Demonoid... I mean it was THE torrent site.

It was clean. Other torrent sites were filled with malware and ... Idiots. Demonoid was smart to switch their registrations on and off. The few people who got in, weren't stupid enough to throw it away so easily.

thats the problem with demonoid. i always got slow speeds even on the most heavily seeded torrents. though they didnt have viruses ...

and 150 kB/s isn't much... I get 525 (max) on torrents at quite a few sites ;]

In my opinion Demonoid was like TPB, minus most of the crap and viruses, plus faster download speeds. Probably because the dl/ul (ratio) system, that TPB doesn't have. I hope it'll survive...somehow.

Btw, if you really want to blame "canadians", check out Weird Al's parody of "Green Day - American Idiot", called "Canadian Idiot" :p.

Well Demonoid moved from the Netherlands to Canada to avoid legalities. Canada turns out that it is no safer.

After moving once I think they will move again, just give them a few weeks :)

There is always picexy still around another invite only torrent site.. :) Supernova is back witch is pretty awesome as well.. I believe that demonoid will pop back up..
