It depends on the script, but SCAR WILL use a lot. It does a lot of stuff in short periods of time.

You could have some type of malware on your computer, but CTRL + ALT + DEL > Processes > Then see what's taking alot of Mem Usage. If you are not sure what that process is, then google it. Ex: l0lk3yl0uugdpl0x.exe into google, the results of the page would say it's w\e type of malware. Beaware of fake sites, that say remove "what you searched.exe". Trust the sites that are anti-virus companys, etc. Hope it helps ya.

Try shutting off all background programs.

Directions
1.Go to Run
2.type in msconfig
3.Go to Startup
4.Click on Disable all.

Remember, this will SHUT OFF ALL of the programs. Restart your computer so it can take effect, but you will notice a HUGE difference in the startup time and running of other programs.

(Note: All of the programs are still accessible, this just disables them of starting on their own)

What is it:http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/spoolsv/

A fix for getting it down to 0%. (you may not have it printing ASCII's, but it should work.:http://torque.oncloud8.com/archives/000384.html

Took me under 2 minutes to get them. Why couldn't you just do it yourself?

Some simpel solutions are the best - how much do u have RAM ? If computer will swap files (write to HDD instead RAM) then it slow down so 10 tp 25 times. U can check it from Task Manager- there is numbers how much do u have total RAM and from Pf usage u see how much u using - if Pf usage is higher than Total - then pls find more RAM

hmmm... scar doesn't take up much ram at all... compared to firefox (that is!) but increasing the page file usage to 2GB will be a good idea to speed up your PC (ONLY do this if you have a good amount of free disk space!).

Or an alternative would be to stop some of the services running in the background (although this can be done via task manager... I think its better to do it in the services section in the control panel...)

Good luck!
