I know for a fact RS servers aren't even near as complex compared to other MMORPG's. Downtime for 1 hour+ is rare for them.

...not so much hack as to ruin the game.

This is possible by making super-leet user-friendly scripts and distributing them widely for free. Imagine if RSDemon were free (not saying RSDemon is leet at all) and more people knew about it it would destroy any desirable aspect of the game.

If you had a character you'd played on for 4+ years and it just got erased wouldn't you do something similar?

...Theres also the option of mugging andrew gower for his admin passwords. (Just a thought.)

They already do that in Jagex private servers or something. They don't waste users time testing aspects unless its entirely needed.

My story of the day-
So about 5 minutes before it went down, I was upgrading the armour my bots have and this guy in the bank died from poison and dropped 20k iron and 700 willows! I was ABOUT to drop trade 'em to my main. I was logging in on my main and it said servers were down, so I would have lost all that stuff if my timing was a little off. *Phew*

Grand exchange will be this place, i believe in varrok. People can put their items up for auction for a certain price. If someone wishes to buy the item, they can accep the offer, and the item will be placed in their bank, with the money traded. P.S --- Pretty nice name :D

I think you misunderstood. Your macroer pays 250k for the 10 feathers that your main offered. Therefore, the 250k goes to your main account.

And if someone else wants to pay 250k for 10 feathers then that is even better! Not only do you get 250k from your autoer, but 250k from some idiot.

And I doubt it will be offers, you place your price and then people that wish to pay it will purchase it, because then people will be bombarded with dumbass offers of 1gp on their full rune or whatever it is they are selling.

I don't know, I'd imagine their count of people in the worlds would update automatically from the servers themselves, but to access the mainpage, java network and forums etc might be a seperate server? Just a suggestion, I never said it was true.
