Ok so my VM's seem to be having the same IP address.

How can I fix this? I want every VM to have a different address...

proxies? NAT network? how would both work, and tuts on them? I've searched but cant find anything

your vm has the same external ip address as your comp unless you have a good isp who gives you an ip per computer (very unlikely)

solution, download tor, and torbutton for firefox, then use runescape in firefox with torbutton enabled

each one should get its own ip

hmm. i have a static IP so i think that my isp does give each computer an IP address. I think you may have to make the other VM by hand instead of simply cloning it. Also use bridged networking instead of NAT.

be careful saying that, each computer does get its own ip address but there are internal and external ip addresses, internal usually is something like 192.168.1.34 while external is something like 199.126.185.132

if you want to find out for sure go to whatismyip.com (http://whatismyip.com) on a few computers, if they are the same then you only have one external ip (and most of the time you have to set up the external ip addresses yourself for each computer)

and good news, just tried out cloning with Microsoft VPC 2007...

just copy the folder that everything is in and rename! my folder was vpc2007/backup and I cloned it to vpc2007/testing (didnt rename the files inside tho, if you rename the settings file, which ends in .vpc, it is fine, if you rename the hard drive you have to open the settings and use the hard drive manager to change which one it accesses)

if you need any more help just ask!! I am learning a ton at the same time!

lol, I mentioned cloning because buck cakes said if you want another Ip you may have to clone the vpc, and he didnt think it was possible and you had to completely remake it :P

tor is free aswell, and if set up correctly, damn simple to use (click a button, red is off, green is on :P)
