It works fine for me on vista. There was a guide of things you had to do to make it work on vista, I'll try to find it.

It didn't work for me at first, but then I found out you always have to run is as administrator, otherwise you get an error something like 'ChangeFPHandle'. If that's what you're getting, do this everytime you use Scar -

Go to your desktop. If you have a shortcut for it, right click on the shortcut, and click run as administrator (so If you aren't admin then it won't work). You will have to allow it. You cannot do this by clicking on script shortcuts. If you want to open and run a script, just double click the script. Copy it all, the Run Scar as administrator, and paste it into that.

One sec I'll try to find the guide for fixing vista errors...

EDIT: Well all it tells you is how to disable security (which is the main reason vista has errors)

1) Right-click SCAR Shortcut on your desktop
2) Click Properties
3) Click the bar labeled "Compatibility"
4) Check the box called "Run this program as an administrator".

If you did the above, you can also just double click script, and they will all open in SCAR which is opened as administrator.

The downside of this is that you always have to click allow. I've already gotten used to it. I even forget I do it, I just do :D

I'm currently running 3.12 on Vista, no problems.
Just installed it...

Are you on an administrator account or a user account on the computer?
That may play a part in it.

Im on a user account and I can run it without administrator. All you have to do is make sure you're running as admin when you install srl.

1)Run as admin
2)Type "%programfiles%" into your address bar in explorer.
3)Find the scar folder
4)Right Click > Properties
5)Security > Edit
6)Say yes to UAC
7)Go through each "Group or User Name" and give them "Full Control"
8)Press ok

This will mean when you save a script, it will not be sent to "%appdata%/Virtual Store" but the scar install dir instead.
