they have to have some initial control otherwise it would get out of hand and prices would drop dramatically. The prices are able to increase or decrease still, however it will just occur at a slower rate.

good update imo. i dont have to put any effort into selling or buying anymore and if you want different prices on things then there is the nifty little button called 'trade' :p

Lots of people were to lazy to sell for good price, others made it their skill 'merchanting'. For the last one, its gone...

Yeah, 5% is very limited. I was hoping to find good deals in the place, but I'll probably only go there when I need something specific. I wonder how fast it works anyway.

so there goes the place to get fast good deals... everyones prices will more or less (5%) be the same... so if u want a good deal can u still player to player trade and set ur own price??? u better be able to or runescape will turn communist and become a controlled economy seting its own prices like that

Well, less amount of player in all same server, less lag and trade faster whitout scan, i pretty like it. You can choose the amount you want to buy. I agree they should never put a price or make its varies at least 15%
