Well I've been browsing through and there doesnt seem to be much on graphics in these forums so i made a graphics tutorial with photoshop So everyone can see whats possible to do.
Well lets start it shall we.

First welcome to my graphics tutorial on using photoshop to make sick sigs or anything else such as backrounds.
Now we'll start off with something a bit easier than making sigs.
Setting up photoshop. then we'll move on to actually making them.
1) Get yourself some brush sets. Go to www.deviantart.com and download some brushes. I prefer grungde stract. they give a nice look. So once at deviant. go into the searchbar and type in Grungestract. When you see an image (yes they look like images they are actually brushes) click on it than click on download to desktop. Once you have it go into your photoshop. Select your brush tool, then at the top you should see your brush. Click on it, you should see previews of a bunch of brushes and a small circle with an arrow pointing to the right on the very right side of this. Click on that aswell. This should produce a drop down menu. Once youve done that click on load brush set. Navigate to your desktop and select the set you chose. This will make the brushes in that set appear last on your brushes menu and ultimately allow you to select them.
2) deciding upon the best size for your sig. The best size I've seen that always seems to work nicely is 100 height 300 width. However you can play with this a bit to make it to whatever size youd like.
3) Choose your colors. Generally a black backround works best, however I have seen some very impressive items created with a white backround aswell. Then choose a base color and maybe a few others to add in there.
4) Watch my camtasia presentation to see how to apply the things youve learnt.
