srl membership

okay i was just wondering i am not an awesome scar scripter but i can script is it possible to get into the srl members just because you know one of these languages

Languages

-Java
-C sharp(like java)
-C (regular)
-C++
-HTML (i dont think so)
-Flash (advanced flash only)
-Visual Basic
-Borland Delphi

and if these are possible please list the ones that can get into srl members

If you know Delphi, using the SRL includes shouldn't be a problem.

Pascal is practically one of the easiest languages to learn.

Scar is what gets you in, knowing the other languages can help, but Scar is the whole point of these forums.

I think he means that the logic you need to use in creating a RuneScape macro is giving him trouble.

In that case, there really is nothing that anyone can help you with. However, if you create something that is awesome in one of those languages, you can PM WT-Fakawi to see if he can do something.

I never saw anyone getting in with only skills in other programming languages then scar. OH, and Scar is (half) object pascal, and Delphi is based on object pascal, so if you know Delphi, you should be able to learn scar pretty fast.

wtf, yes, the opposite, you do create anything :)

You can't get into members by 'knowing' something, you need to have something concretic, if you have thousands of helpful posts like Jason2g had, you have a chance of getting in.

But, in a normal case, you come to apply with a scar script and a paragraph and members vote.

Also, if you are as good in c++ as the requirements in SCAR to become a member, you can easily make the scar script.

c++ > SCAR.

You can just know something and get in... That would defeat the whole purpose, as you may know everything, but not how to use it.

i say light your hair on fire. i lose. okay, you cant get in on other languages, but they would help. SCAR is easier to learn then some of those languages so just hop on

You can get in RARELY from other things then scripting. Such as people like Dunceiam. But as for other languages no, SCAR only on applications.

Well, one idea is if you get REALLY GOOD at Delphi and you are ingenious, you could make useful plugins for SCAR. I'm sure that counts (does it?)
