I know nothing about programming

Do I have to know a lot about programming before I write a script, or will srl-forums tell me all I need to know to write one?

A lot of people (including myself) didn't know any programming when they started. So no, you don't need programming experiance, but it would help.

Markus wrote a good tut about how to apply for membership that makes a lot of good sense.

some of these scripts don't help much because they don't compile so it's difficult to go thru the tut's and then back to a script to see how the functions work when the script doesn't compile...so if you find a good one posted by a senior member that compiles, you've got gold you can take to the bank...I'm using those scripts to learn how to write my own, and how to help others with their errors.;)
