how do i use getnewchatmsg for friends chat

i got writeln(getnewchatmsg) but how do i record private messages too

That depends if you have the friends chat seperate or in the regular chat box. For a seperated chat you could use GetTextAtEx, and for regular chat take a look at RC.scar in the srl includes folder, they have a way of determing if it is a friend speaking or not.
