Yes! Another Problem *sigh*

ok, so i've got scar 3.13 and the newest SRL and they both work fine on the default scripts...when i try and run one of the other runescape scripts i've got...I get this message..

Failed when compiling
Line 27: [Error] (81:1): Duplicate identifier 'UpChars' in script C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.13\includes\srl\srl\core\Globals.scar

Yes i've got the includes and the file does exist..


EDIT: I've taken scar off and on my computer sevral times... iv'e come to this now..

SCAR Version - 3.13
SRL Version - 4 (I downloaded the link from the Download SCAR AND SRL 4 here thread...

Now i get this when i try and do updates..

OK, i've downloaded SRL 4 and i get the subversion download thing when i go tools > options > SRL Download...

but i get this when i click on Checkout..

srl 4 is the newest version.
i don't now if someone suggested this before, but why don't you try to update SCAR?

go to File and then choose Update SRL SVN
go to File and then choose Update SRL SVN to Rev
go to File and then choose Download Includes

perhaps that works..

Search for setting up the SvN repository. Thats how you update to the latest Revision of SRL 4.

Are you running Vista? If you are right-click on the scar icon and click "Run as administer" .

What you need to do is right click Scar.... the go do to "Run as administrator" and click it... It will open a little pop up that says allow or cancel press allow... it will then open scar; then try Tools>Options and adding the subversion.

The same thing happened to me once...

Try this-

Reinstall the subversion, then go to scar -->Tools-->Options-->SRL Download-->Subversion Reposittory--->Checkout.

If it doesnt work redownload the subversion and install it, then try the above steps. Here the link TO DIRECT DOWNLOAD OF THE SUBVERSION...

Vista is still windows, and any exe follows the same prototype, there are no reasons they wouldn't work unless you are making obvious noob mistakes. Ok, i think this information might help. I have not got Vista but i am sure you'll be able to sort this out.

Download the latest SCAR (http://freddy1990.com/scar.php).
Download SRL 4 and Subversion 1.4.5.
Install SRL 4 first then install the Subversion.
Restart (if you already have SCAR open) or Open (if you haven't already got SCAR open) SCAR.
Go to file and select Update SRL SVN.
Go to Tools and click on options.
Go to SRL Download and select the Subversion Repository radio button.
Click on the button Cleanup.
After it has finished cleaning up, click on the Checkout button.
Press the OK button and you should be all sorted out.

If that ^^ does not help you, please post again.

If you have ZoneAlarm:
Open ZoneAlarm via the Tray Icon.
Go to Program Control and select the Programs tab.
Find "scar.exe" and change it's trust level to Super.
Have a green tick in each of boxes so SCAR has any right to access the internet.
Close ZoneAlarm.

Why do you want number 2?

Here are some steps to take into running SCAR on Vista:
Right Click SCAR's icon shortcut.
Click on Properties.
Click the Compatibility tab.
Select the compatibility mode to Windows XP.

If that does not work, try this:
Click on the START menu button.
Find and click on Control Panel.
Find and click on Programs.
Click on Use an older program with this version of Windows.
Follow the instructions directed by the Wizard.

After doing those, SCAR will definitely work on your system.
