Here is the easiest and fastest way to Renewing your IP Address.
For Windows NT/2000/XP.
1. go to start then click on Run.
2. Type in the Run box "cmd" then press ok.
3. A box should appear with a black background and in gray writing.
4. In the cmd type in exactly this except for the quotes.
"ipconfig /renew" Please note that there is a space between ipconfig and the /renew. Then press enter
5.Next type in "ipconfig /release" Please note again that there is a space between ipconfig and the /release. Then press enter.
5. there you have it a new ip address.

Within a network this is the way indeed. But most people use a DSL router, and most ISP's give you a fixed IP. So be carefull ipconfig /renew only changes your local-IP not your IP to the outside world (jaxe...). If your not sure check your outside ip on a web page like : www.mijnip.nl.
Ask your ISP if your IP is static or not ! If it's not like some cableISP's you can try release your outside IP in your cable router. But again check afer !

Or, if you just try to hide yourself from someone...use proxy:)
Still, why do you want to do that?

Be real carefull with this one: the site says :
Browser plugins such as Java, Flash, ActiveX, RealPlayer, Quicktime, Adobe's PDF plugin, and others can be manipulated into revealing your IP address
As RS uses java tor will not work, the originating IP will be detectable.

Set java to use the proxy, then run unsigned client.

Most ISPs use dynamic IPs so if you simply turn your modem/router off for a few seconds then turn it back on again you will be allocated a new IP. You may have a static or sticky IP in which case a proxy will be your best bet

I tried the proxy trick, with unsigned client, and set java to use the proxy, but still when i log in the "last login" box in RS will show my (fixed) own IP-adress. Anyone have 1 good sugestion ?

I've (some time ago) set up an static IP-adres, to host on wc3. It was somewhere in 'control panel', were u could set up, or put away an static IP wasnt it? o.O Don't know for sure though. But if u can put away ure static IP (if u've got one), i think it'll be easier to change ure IP.
You can always just reset your router / modem. It should give a new ip.

That will usually do the trick however some ISP's give you a 'sticky' IP rather than a dynamic one, so you can still end up with the same address after rebooting your router if you are unlucky

Make sure its a SOCKS5 proxy you are using, anything else and runescape will see your real IP rather than the proxies

I actually setted up a static IP myself :p But do you get IP-banned on RS? I didn't know that :o
