Another could not move plugins SOLUTION!

I made a SCAR Script that updates your SRL SCAR Script files from www.srl-forums.com/srl-repos/

Why I made it is that some people with Vista still encounter problems with downloading SRL even they'd try the other solutions.

So, open SCAR, go to Options -> FileWall and put Allow All.

Go to your SCAR folder, empty the plugins folder and remove SRL from the includes folder.

Then, set the Shared to True or False and run the script.

If it asks you to allow or not to an outgoing connection to SRL-Forums, put allow everytime or whatever.


Version 2! Downloads succesfully plugins and all the SCAR files!

I wish I could do a direct file saving thingie from web like:

"Function WebFileToFolder(URL, Path: String): Boolean;"

and then like "WebFileToFolder('www.blabla.com/pluginz.dll', '.\includes\SRL');"

(NOTE: .\ gives the path to SCAR folder :)

I think your getting confused. The script isnt a fix for the subversion, its an alternative to the subversion.

Dude just calm down, I have no requirements to link you to a tutorial, go to Tutorial for Beginners and find a one that maybe says that put SetupSRL after the begin in the mainloop. As for the plugin moving, go to Includes\SRL\Place inside plugins folder\ copy the content of the folder, and go to SCAR\Plugins and copy it there, and overwrite if it asks to...

For most Vista users, while updating SRL the normal way by the SvN checkout, after it has updated a part of the Core, it gives a "Could not move plugins" error and stops the updating.

This program downloads the SRL's .scar files from the SRL repository.

You still need to download Embedded SMART.dll if thats what you mean not work "with" smart...

Lol, you should've ask the first time you had the problem, not after weeks.

The problem is that you didn't follow the instructions - go to SCAR -> Tools -> Options -> FireWall to Allow all.

LOL I did your actually the first post that helped me at all and I thank you very much. anyway it is on allow all. and it downloads all the stuff but just like the names of the folders and nothing in the folders. do you know what i mean. if not i post a picture.

Expecting you are running on Windows Vista since you're viewing this, you might have the User Account Surveillance on, which causes installations to go nowhere supposed to.

Log on to an administrator account, go to Control Panel, then User accounts and then the surveillance program thing, then select not to use it, click apply or whatever are needed and restart your computer for it to take effect.

There is a small bug in this version, where is the antirandoms part, and reads
'SRL\Core\..' or something like that, take away the 'SRL\' so it downloads the antirandoms to the right place.

Make sure the priviledges of your SCAR folder are full for the user you are on.
