I voted c++. While I hate to say anything at all like it's a fact, I'll just go ahead and say that it's the most popular, and that most companies use it.

OMG I hate the case-sensitivity. Why can't it be like PASCAL... speaking of which since your on the SRL-Forums and SRL is scripted in PASCAL you might wanna start with that. Its really easy compared to some other languages.

VB is crap.
Delphi is fun, and pretty easy imho.
Perl, well, lets say that if you know it, you're a hacker.
Java is pretty cool, but slow compared to C/C++.
C/C++ is epic win.
I suggest learning all of them, except VB ofcourse :)

Java and C++.
Both immensely useful languages; know 'em both, and you can do *nearly* anything you want.
Don't waste your time learning a useless language.

SCAR is... Like trying to bake a cake using a remote-controlled retarded kid.
I'd learn C++ first.

Dude, that was deep!
#0 Anyway! I'd learn Delphi first to get the basics of programming. Or Pascal as already mentioned.
