Forgot you XP pass? No problem!

I have recently lost my XP password. But now, after reading a guide I know how to recover it. This is in my own words to help you guys. Note: Only works with XP home edition (tested on sp2)

DISCLAIMER!!! IF YOU BRAKE YOUR COMPUTER, DO NOT BLAME ME!:fiery: :fiery: If you do than I do not take responsibility for the damages (although I don't know how this could happen). DO NOT delete ANYTHING in the Administrator account.

First boot up in safe mode (press f8 or Esc repetetly before the windows logo). Than chose safe mode.
OR just press Ctrl-Alt-Delete TWICE at the welcome screen.
Choose an account named Administrator. This is not your account! It does not have a password. Than just go to control panel and reset your password. That's it! No more need to re-install windows!

I prefer OPHCrack as that way I will get the original pass instead of changing it, and some people might've changed the administrator pass.
Pro forces you to set it, so it will definately not work on that.

it won't always work..
if any way was a brain, they would've setted the administrator pass.... and besides, you don't need to go to saft mode, on the log in screen, just press ctrl+alt+delet.....



OPHcrack and offline nt regiesteries are always the way to go,

You can also do:
Press Ctrl+alt+Del at the login screen TWICE
A screen will pop up fill in:
Username: Administrator
Password:(doesnt have a pass, so leave this blank)
press enter voila...
Go to control panel change ur pass:D

Well you could use library,cell phone,dad/mom computer, friend

Im with markus, I use OPHCrack or the livecd. And seriously, who the hell programs and doesnt know that? Just recently my mom passworded me outof my superuser accounts so i found out the password in all of 10 minutes.

EDIT: and if this even does work which it shouldnt, then ur computer is totally insecure. Anyone can log onto ur administrator account then. And you are WRONG it is not by default blank, when you install windows it prompts you for the password.

Also, it astonishes me how many people trying to get 10 posts have spammed this thread with 'yay' posts.
