Text and Picture Installation:

1) Go to the Includes Folder in SCAR, default path C:Program FilesSCAR203Includes
Make a New folder called 'SRL' (without Quotes)
2) Open the rar file you have downloaded of SRL and follow the picture Setup through Includes --> SRL --> and highlight all of the folders in this folder.

Press the big 'Extract to' button (Second from left) and select the path of the new SRL folder you just created. Alternatively, you can highlight everything and drag it to the folder you just created.

Note: to Extract .rar files, you need Winrar. Download it from http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

3) It should end up looking like this:

4) Reopen the SRL.rar archive, but this time browse into the 'Plugins' folder. Move all 4 files into the 'Plugins' folder in SCAR default path C:Program FilesSCAR 203Plugins

5) Copy and Paste this script into SCAR and Run it. If the words "Successfully Compiled" and "Successfully Executed" Appear after about 2 seconds you have set SRL up correctly. IF not, check the errors below:

Begin
SetupSRL;
end.




Errors with SRL:


[Error] Unknown Identifier "SetupSRL;"
- You have not installed SRL correctly. Start over the turotial making sure that the path where you extract all of the folders to is correct.



Include file C:Program Files/SCAR 2.03/.../srl.scar does not exist.
Include file C:Program Files/SCAR 2.03/.../skill/fighting.scar does not exist.

- This means that the path to where you have extracted SRL to is incorrect. Maybe you named the folder incorrectly? Maybe you didn't follow all of the instructions properly? Start from Step 1 again.


[Error] (11351:1): Unknown identifier 'ProcessPicture' in script C:Program FilesSCAR 2.03includessrlsrlcoreAntiRandoms.scar

[Error] (11351:1): Unknown identifier 'FindColorSpiralD' in script C:Program FilesSCAR 2.03includessrlsrlcoreAntiRandoms.scar

Unknown identifier ScanExactMinimapD' in script
- You havent put the Plugins into the Correct Folder. Follow Step 4 Again until you do. In the pictures above, look at the Path of the Folders. That should help.


Error identifier 'x' in script
- Your script is not SRL 4 compatible. If you cannot fix it yourself, you'll have to find another one. Check here (http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16277) if you are feeling brave and want to fix it yourself.


Unknown identifier 'ChangeFPHandle' in script

You're using vista and getting an error like this?


Line 67: [Error] (7031:1): Unknown identifier 'ChangeFPHandle' in script C:Program FilesSCAR 3.11includessrlsrlmiscSCSS.scar

Here's the fix: Right click on scar itself (not a script), and choose "Run as Administrator", a nice security window pops up, enter your pass and look: It works now :)

And thats it, you are ready to auto with SRL!

The apth way to where you installed the plugins is probably wrong. its sjhould be

C:\...\SCAR203\Plugins

SRL Should be installed in:

C:\...\SCAR203\Includes\SRL <-- drag all files into that folder

And I am positive I did it correctly. I dragged the 4 of them into the Plugins folder. (SCAR INCLUDES ---> SRL ------> PLUGINS)

well i dont understand. my "SRL 360b without manual.rar" already has an SRL folder which it says to make.. also, when i try to extract to, i go to the location, but since the "SRL 360b without manual.rar" isnt a folder, i cant get into it in order to extract back into the includes folder which was already created, how am i supposed to extract to the right location if it wont let me in?

This is too weird, I have been using scar for a week and everything its ok, just yesterday that I left my pc autoing nothing happened... all my army was on same place.. so i restarted scar.. (im using 2.03 with srl 3.6 and charms willow cutter) and allwas fine it compiled ok and even logged in one accunt , it says found compasss.... and stuck rite there... super weird isnt it?? I mean ive used it for a week or so... and suddenly bam.. nothing works. i have tried other scripts and the same happens.... I tried to Installl again scar... and just stucks again.. Hey.. I downloaded Scar Divi 3.11 and SRl V3.70
I did everything, i extracted files to main folder, i went to includes, SRL.
Then I ran SetupSRL, then I ran script and it said..

My dad deleted all scar files so I downloaded scar 2.03 and extracted SRL back into it and while using winrar i did everything this tut told me to but the winrar extracted into wrong files or it would make up new files out of no where such as I extracted the includeds and it would make two include files so when SRL went to read the SRL file there was just an include file and same with plugins but i copy pasted and then deleted extra file thnaks again for making such fantastic programs

I think you have to turn off firewall to run SCAR with Vista. Use the search funtion on the start menu and search for "Windows Defender" or whatever other firewall you have and set it to accept SCAR under exceptions tab

It works for me perfectly on vista. All i did was turn off firewall and make sure you dont have mcafee and other stuff like that. When i turned those off it made SCAR work:D

Some times when i run programs it says:

Include file C:\Program Files\SCAR 2.03\includes\si.txt does not exist.
Failed when compiling

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with this... But does anyone know how to fix it/ where to get it from (si.txt)...

SRL stats to my noobish knowledge is a sort of system, here information about the scripts you run (i.e. how long it runs for) is uploaded onto the site so interested scripters can see how popular or effective a certain script it. :P

And i doubt this this tutorial will get updated... more likely it'll be kept for historical purposes. But its still good to look at to see how to solve some problems you may come up with when running a script (or your using an old version of scar to try out an old script or fiddlin around) Just go through downloading scar312 and subversion... (tip: use search if you dont know what i'm talking about)

Okay when I try to download SRL from the thread, I follow everything from SCAR and when it gets to the step where I have to go to Options and then SRL Download, it tells me to select "Subversion Depository", but it is greyed out, so I can only have "Regular Download". Is there any way to fix this? I really want to get this working. I have a bunch of scripts waiting I just need SRL. Thanx
