SRL v3.4 problems

ok srry if this is the wrong setion to post the new SRL problems in, but from what i understood from what dank said this is the new sections for this? please correct me if im wrong. ok but neways here is my problem. ok i click download and it pops up for me to download it but i doesnt have an option to extract with winrar or whatever. ok so i just click to download later then it downloads and says it recieved 0 bytes. anyone know why i cant download this? and lol srry if thats too confusing just tell me and ill try and reword it. thanks in advance.

nope i click it and then it downloads in like half a second then says "slow down your trying to download files to quickly" or something like that. if you could post another link from like rapidshare or whatever that should work for me. but i just dont know why the official one doesnt?

Uh, I'm not quite sure what you mean. It may help if you restate it, but see if any of this helps:

Do you have WinRar? If not, you should get it or another program that can open .rar (there are quite a few archiving programs that can open them). That should take care of the extracting part of the thing.

Now for the downloading part. Are you using any sort of download manager? If you are, disable it, because I use one, and it snagged the link automatically, and screwed it up. The page said I had already downloaded it and had to wait 200 something seconds to download again. Grrrr....a whole 200 seconds. What a raw deal.....That's outrageous.....
Anyway, download managers usually grab the .html (web page) file instead of the actual file itself, so if you are using a download manager, try disabling it. If that doesn't help, try explaining your problem again, and I'll see if I can provide any more help.

The only other thing that I can think would be causing a problem is if the link itself is temporarily bad. :( Anyway, good luck. ;)

@kronos. i have winrar and i am using a download manager and its doing exactly what you said it did to you so ill do what you said and see if it works.

@dankness. ok if what kronos said doesnt work then ill post a screeny and im using satellite style and the url is villu-reborn

Which download manager are you using?

Edit: Most download managers have something in the options about disabling them or something. If not, see if it has any keys to force the prevention of the download as you click the link.

MSN Download Manager? Hmmm, sorry, not familiar with it. Are there any options that allow you to disable it, or anything that can change the settings?

Googled it, found out it was part of the MSN package (is that correct?). Hmm...I think it would be fairly inocuous, and shouldn't interfere with the download in any way. I just went and tried to download the file again myself, and it doesn't seem to be working for me either, so maybe the link is temporarily down (?).

Tried it again with Internet Explorer, doesn't work either, so I'm guessing that the link is down. It goes along for a little while, then plunks out. Maybe try again tomorrow? :(

Edit: Tried it yet again (with Opera this time), and it seems to be downloading just fine. Maybe it's the time that you're trying it. If not, and you can't find any way to disable the download manager (although it shouldn't cause a problem), and Internet Explorer doesn't help either, then try what Dankness said. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

yep MSN download manager and yes its part of the package. and ok ill try tomorrow, the link has to be down. because i have downloaded the other versions of SRL before and no problem. thanks guys

First of all, I am very new to all these scar scripts and everything, so it is very hard for me to work a script. I tried to do a powerchopper, but it said that theat it couldnt understand "findaxe", so i tried to download SRL version 3.4. Finally when I had done all the steps it took a while and nothing was opening, so i clicked on the button that said to click there if browser wasnt opening. Then it said that I was downloading too quickly, and I have to wait a certain amount of seconds. I retried this about 10 times and it still doesn't work. :confused: What do I do???:confused: What is Winrar and how do I get it? And how do I get to my download manager?

Winrar is software which can hold loads of files in one zipped type folder and can be found at http://www.win-rar.com/ if that dosent work or takes to wrong site try googling "winrar"

try using IE and if it says wait go back and wait like 5 min then try again ,, that worked for me:)

From ur info..i think the problem come when the connection between the server and ur pc broken. As normal, u'll see..the file completely downloaded...but if u see the exact file downloaded not same as uploaded in the server. From my exp, I need to delete (don't shift+del)...the incomplete file n re-download again.If u r using Firefox, it'll resume the download.Do until ur file fully downloaded..Hope this will help u..:p

shew i finally got it downloaded and working. thanks for all your help guys. lol i dnno what it was but i just kept trying to download and kept trying but it wouldnt let me. so i go and redownload winrar cuz i had an old version and it let me lol:duh:
