Okay so my parents one day decided that me and my brothers were on the computer too much. So they got this program called Kids Watch. Now what this does is it limits how long each of us (all with our own accounts) can get on the computer.:fiery: I googled it and there is no way around it they say. But i was wondering If you guys could tell me how to hack windows or something to get their admin password. My older brother (at college) did it one day so i know it can be done. And if i can just find how to get their pass I know how to get my some more computer time so i can auto overnight.

You want to hack windows so you can auto overnight? Get a grip man.

How are you going to explain the computer being logged in every night? Don't you think they might figure it out, like the FIRST time you try to do it? You'll probably just earn a bigger backlash, like being grounded from the computer entirely.

This type of thing is usually caused by something OTHER than the computer. If its grades, then get your grades up. If it something else, fix it. Then you can reason with them.

There are some things worth fighting for. Sometimes it is necessary to escalate a conflict. Autoing overnight is not such a time.

When we had dial up I was allowed on the internet for half an hour a week, and max 1 hour a day doing anything else.

Ouch, been there, done that! When you have your time on download and install something called KGB Keylogger :google: and make sure you hide it. Then ask them to give you an extra 20 mins or whatever and they have to put in their admin password to do it. Then go into KGB Keylogger and find out what the password is... (Don't try this at home...)

Ya this happened to me before, only reason spending to much time on the computer. What you do is say to your parnets that you forgot you have a school project and wasted all your computer time. So you have to get on theres.(This works best if there is accually 1.)

So you work on your project and in the background you look for a passowrd, find, cracker, ect, with that you would let it run getting passwords to other accounts, while you look and when parnets look at you they see you working on your project.

I used LCP. I have it on a thumb drive, Very handy. :D

Anyway, there really are better things to do than trying to find out how to get your parents password just so you can auto overnight. Remember, it is only a game! Not only that, but getting caught autoing in RS = loss of time you spend doing nothing, getting caught hacking your parents password = less time on PC and probably a good grounding. I'm lucky enough that my dad thinks he's good at pc sorta stuff in general, so I grew up with pc's and have had one in my room since I was about 7 or so (only had internet since I was 12, but before then I had a crap load of pc games to play - Dora the Explorer ftw!).

Okay well geez guys thanks for all the insults, i really appriciate it.
The program was meant for my brothers cuz if they could they would be on 24/7 im on 1hr a day TOPS.
I dont have any more time to because im on two different sport teams. So please next time learn a little more before you go and try to insult someone. I just use this program to make that one hour im on a bit more enjoyable.
And everyone else THANKS i put this on before i went to school and i got a lot of replies :) I see my brothers trying to beg and all that stuff so i dont think it will work. (They even tried boycotting their chores for a week) So ill try the cain or something else when i get home. Thanks again everyone Oh and the school work thing wont work. Im in 8th grade and haven't had homework since 6th because i do it all in class. And i know thats going to kick my butt in high school

ok thing to do go into safe mode on startup hit F8 a bunch till advanced menu pops up then choose safe mode it will pop up and there should be an admin account with no password go onto that one go to control panel under the start menu then go to user accounts then just make yourself admin or better yet just remove the program from control panel then go to add and remove programs and remove the program.

Try a program called power-pad or sumthin (last resort prog if your pc is severly infected with virusses, can be used to request admin info i think)

you are all so helpful! Im going to try the safe mode meathod when i get home and ill get back to you with that. And i truely apologize or however you spell it for calling my parents "stupid" i would change the title of this thread but im not sure i can. Anyway, downloading a key logger or cain like programs is my last resort. And im trying to save my money up for a labtop/laptop that a kid at school offered me for 150 and just a bad battery. But until then safe mode FTW! And kid who said they were going to hack school admin.... good luck with that :P

1. Go to control panel
2. Make a new account give it Admin Privelges
3. Log into the acount.

If you had an administrator acc, then open cmd.exe and type in net user parents-acc-name * to change the password.

I think keylogger is the best way to go, cause it's easy not to let them know that you messed around w/ it.

restart your computer, and when the screen goes black, press F8 over and over and eventually it will go to a list of things. scroll down to safe mode, select, then safe mode with networking, select, then you can go on the admin account with no password. from there, open control panel, click on user accounts, and change your account to administrator, or remove the password from your parents account (it would be hard to explain why they suddenly dont have a password tho).

Download the Live CD and burn the image (.iso) as an image using Nero or whatever burning software you use.
Then restart your computer and boot from your CD ROM.
Easiest and simplest method there is.
Or you can always go into safe mode.

okay, this might not work and might take a while but try and back up your whole hard drive APART from the kids watch program, put ur comp back to factory settings/format drive something like that and restore it back so you will have it exactly the same but no kids watch. prob wont work but better than nothing

I have a way that you can get the password without installing anything.

1) Get a UV pen and smear it on your keyboard keys.
2) Get your parents to type the password after you have put it on.
3) UV Light on keyboard. Voila!

Thats how I did it. Its practical and wont harm your computer. Also, your parents can monitor new software installations if your account isnt Admin, my parents used too. So I would reccomend installing Cain unless you have a good allaby =]

There is only one way that i can think of but it costs waaaayyyyyy too much.
Me and a few friends once at school all chipped in for a key-recoreder or keycacher which plugs in BETWEEN the keyboard and the computer and records every keystroke.
Thing is, not all of them recored passwords and also, those that do are usually fiarly procey.
Can be up to 50$ for one which really doesnt seem worth it.

edit: sorry for the long post its worth reading if you want to change the settings on the watching program.

(i'll put this basically & i'll assume your using XP)... 1. Basic simple easy attempt press ctrl+alt+delete twice the login screen might come up type "administator" and don't type a password. Simple but may not work on some pc's... :duh:

OR to change ANY accounts password on ANY account. :f:

open up command prompt (in run type: CMD) type in
net user administrator *
(it doesn't need to be administrator it can be any account just "net user NAME *")
(net user name (space Star) - Any account but you need space star

You wont see yourself typing the password, but type it ppress enter type it again and volla your done with your new admin account with your password

OR IF THAT FAILS

Turn the computer off, then turn it on press F8 when its starting
once in safe mode there should be the accounts
click the admin one there should be no password
type Crtl + R (run) type cmd
type "net user (accountname) * (same as last time)
-You may be able to change account setting while in the safe mode administrator account.

If that doesn't work, well idk what you could do, if you want a key logger i could get you one to get there passwords.

First of all, your parents aren't going to let you on more often. I know the type.

Second of all, to fix this problem, restart the computer, and press f2 while it's starting up to get to the setup menu. Go to 'date/time' using the arrow keys and set the time to when the "kidswatch" lets you logg on.

This works for me every time.

Btw i'm on Windows vista so if you have xp it might be like f5 or some other f-key.

Have them log you in.
Look at the fingerprints on the keyboard.
Write down the letters.
Figure from there.

i use vista right, so easy and fast way is download scar keylogegr lite onto a usb or watever. when ur on the account with time limit/parental controls run the keylogger on scar then go to scar on the desktop or in programs menu and
right click and then click "run as Administrator" then youll ned to type in te pass for admin. jus ask em to and say its so u can update scar or w/e and check ur keylog and voila. simple pimple.
