So my Flash drive has died, (Windows no longer recognizes it when I put it in?), so I'm looking to buy a new one. I need some some suggestions on flash drives that have worked for you. Preferably 4 gig from newegg.com

Don't trash it automaticly :p Boot on Linux and see if there is boot viruses, etc on it.
If it still doesn't work, I recomend the Macromedia?(Something like that, has an M on it) 4gb one, I got that one and it works like a charm :)

A lot of my friends have SanDisk ones, and they work well. The $30 4gig one, not the $120 one.

I have had the 2 gig model of this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134484) for over a full year
It has been in my pocket on my keychain the entire time, and has been used moderately often, I usually fill it with stuff then delete everything and over and over again....
I would recommend it, its nice and cheap too ;)

I have the 2 gig as well. It's what I run my SCAR,portableapps.com,pr0n,etc. off of. As Tony the Tiger says" They rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr greeeeeeeat!"
I had the same prob when I started using my flash drive. It had something to do with it being is an USB 2.0 so it messed up... Something totally unetnical to do but may actually help is to check the manual:(

Prices have dropped recently and you can find an 8 gig for around 30 dollars and a 16 gig for around 60. If you want 1 gig it's 7, 10 for a 2 gig!

How do you encrypt a flash drive?
There are plenty of choices when it comes to software to do that. Just google "flash drive encryption"

I googled before I asked with limited results. Different wording but same concept. I'll give it another try.
