help with making a pixil game

does anyone know how to code games like pokemon from the first pokemon, zelda, ormaybe stuff like metal slug
i have exp with visual basic 6 but no idea how to make anything like those, if anyone has msn or something that can help/ teach me to make an anime pixil game that would be nice, i am ok at drawing and will post some art shortly( i have exp with making pixil art as well) thx

vb6 cant make games, its only a program launcher etc. it has some special feautres, cant freakin remember, on the tip of my tongue, but you cant code games from them, its made for simple programs.
