Im not sure how many people here have ever been IP banned from Runescape before but one thing i know for a fact is that you never do want to be IP banned. So onto the guide!

Step 1.
Download Maxthon from www.maxthon.com I like this browser a lot in fact it is my default browser, it is a lot like firefox, only better ;P.

Step 2.
Get some proxy's from http://proxy.org/cgi_proxies.shtml

Step 3
In Maxthon go to Tools>Proxy (orly?!)>Manage Proxy List and then input a few proxies from the link above.

Step 4
Go to tools>proxy>manage proxy list>use advanced proxy rule select them all and choose "use first useable proxy" and then go back out to tools>proxy and then click "use advanced proxy rule" Then log into RS and bam you will never have your IP banned! It also works if you IP is already banned, and it gets around home monitoring things like Bsafe.

Thanks for reading this tut, hope you enjoyed it =D

Makes sense it would but i tested it a few times and it didnt change my ip according to runescape (but i can get past any home filter there is), i dont get it, i will try to use a specific proxy and see if that works... i should stop writing shit after i have been studying lol...

Make sure you use an anonymous proxy when doing so to keep your IP hidden. Some proxies may say they are anonymous but are actually transparent and can reveal your true IP.
When using socks type proxies I have had really good luck keeping my IP hidden but not all HTTP applications support socks type for browsing webpages. If they do not you will have to use an application called SockCap or something that does the same job.
I am unfamiliar with Maxthon so it might be capable of using the socks type.
I hope this helps clarify some things.

I would just like to say that they might have get banned, because there's no way EVER that you can change you IP in some kind of way, so they thought they switched it but they autoed on the same. Anyway, I said this to get some clearence and so other people don't get scared.

Yes but still, you can't change your IP. It's unique for you, your computer and network. IP blocker might work, haven't heard of it so I can't say anything about that part unfortunatly...

Or you could set up PuTTY >_> an encrypted tunnel. Good for school firewalls unless they block the app by its md5 hash. Otherwise, it's a good app as it won't be blacklisted by a firewall.

To download the portable PuTTY client click here (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/PuTTY_Portable_0.60_Rev_3.paf.exe?download).

You'll have to set up a server @ your house though... Google the details if you're interested.

~Bombo

I'd have to agree w/ Mastaraymond, if you play by the rules you usually live longer. <_<

How To: Change Your Ip In Less Then 1 Minute

1. Click on "Start" in the bottom left hand corner of screen
2. Click on "Run"
3. Type in "command" and hit ok

You should now be at an MSDOS prompt screen.

4. Type "ipconfig /release" just like that, and hit "enter"
5. Type "exit" and leave the prompt
6. Right-click on "Network Places" or "My Network Places" on your desktop.
7. Click on "properties"

You should now be on a screen with something titled "Local Area Connection", or something close to that, and, if you have a network hooked up, all of your other networks.

8. Right click on "Local Area Connection" and click "properties"
9. Double-click on the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" from the list under the "General" tab
10. Click on "Use the following IP address" under the "General" tab
11. Create an IP address (It doesn't matter what it is. I just type 1 and 2 until i fill the area up).
12. Press "Tab" and it should automatically fill in the "Subnet Mask" section with default numbers.
13. Hit the "Ok" button here
14. Hit the "Ok" button again

You should now be back to the "Local Area Connection" screen.

15. Right-click back on "Local Area Connection" and go to properties again.
16. Go back to the "TCP/IP" settings
17. This time, select "Obtain an IP address automatically"
tongue.gif 18. Hit "Ok"
19. Hit "Ok" again
20. You now have a new IP address

With a little practice, you can easily get this process down to 15 seconds.

If you have a router you can't do that.
so the only why to change the ip, (if you use a router) is via proxy or calling your ISP.

What is that exactly? Does that mean that every single account on your IP is banned? or that you can't make any more accounts on your IP?

So how do you keep someone off of your site that uses this?

Ethien
06-30-2009, 12:50 AM
I don't know if this is going to work because Jagex doesn't use the ip your client is on, it uses a Java client sided function to get the ip.
