You note that a mylar helium-filled balloon stops floating after a couple of days. You also notice that is seems to be slightly deflated.
What could you do to the balloon to make it temporarily float in the air?

heat it up...put a hair dryer to it and heat the gas inside it to a temperature above that of the ambient temperature

not if it won't float anyway? it'll go up temporarily and then float back down because it is a failure of a balloon
