Well I'm trying to set this other computer up for autoing. I think I got everything, remind me if I don't -
SCAR 3.15
SRL
Subversion
Includes
Script to use :p
When I start to run a script, Scar just disappears. No errors or anything. I've only tried this with one script atm, I'll go try some more now. Anyone know what the problem might be?
EDIT: I've tried...
Re-installing Scar
Using Scar 3.14
Re-installing SRL
Using different scripts
Restarting my computer
Setting priority to low
Running without SMART
And this computer isn't all that bad. Something like 2GHZ Processor and 1GB RAM, I'll try to find exactly what it is.
EDIT: Oh, actually it's 2.8GHZ and 512MB RAM, could RAM be the problem?
EDIT: Hmm, after disappearing, it's still on the proccesses list, but not on the applications...

interesting...how bad of a computer is it?
If it's really sucky it could just be dieing.
when you open scar, and before you try running the script, open your task manager and set the priority to higher than default. That helped me out

I get that problem sometimes and sometimes I don't. This happens completely randomly. The scripts works fine this time, but the next time it closes. It's a rare problem (like 1 in 50 tries). For the record I have a 1.8Ghz dual core with 2Gbs of ram.
Have you tried running the script again? Because usually after SCAR closes I can reopen it load the script and it'll run fine.

Didn't get a chance to expirement on it. It's not that bad of a computer, XP, 1GB RAM, something like 2GHZ processor. It is old though (maybe 5 yrs?). And yeah I tried running it like 5 times.

thats close to mine, cept Vista. I just restart my computer and it works normally. That just happens randomly for me, helps if no other programs are running right when you start. then you can do whatever when its running if you use SMART

Ok...
I've tried restarting, no luck. Tried re-installing SRL, no luck. Tried using different scripts, no luck. Time to try re-installing scar, wish me luck :p
Any other ideas?
EDIT: No luck with the re-installing Scar. I've tried both 3.15 and 3.14.

I don't believe so, I tried Wizzup's VEM, Tara's ChickenKiller, and Timo's QuickPowerMiner, none worked. When I was helping somebody with a script (I forget who it was), I ran his script that wasn't done, and when I got it compiled it started doing stuff (the mouse was moving). So yeah...its weird...
And that computer is XP

Try everything I said I did and make sure you have everything I said I have :p
The only thing I haven't tried so far is letting my computer rest for a bit.
Edit: WTF happened to the post above...

How essential is SRL for the scripts?

No, I never got it to work :( I never did try leaving it off for a while though. That could still work. Other than that, I dunno.

If it doesn't work at all with any script I think it might have something to do with the file not having permission to access the internet through the fire wall. I accidentally clicked "always deny" on one of the pop up windows and since I cannot use any script that reports the stats to the internet... I am just a novice so I don't know what to do to fix this...

Did you try running a working portable version (setup from another computer) from off a USB and see if that got it to work? I doubt it would do anything, but the portable version is much more friendly when it comes to working (for me atleast) and getting a running version off a different computer just means that you know it is 100% working etc.

I was having the same problem, scar would close but it would still appear in the processes. Try updating the java on the computer. This solved the problem for me.

Well i have had thos problem once but only with one script.
I highly doubt it is your RAM because my PC is 2GB of RAM and its happened to me.
Does it happen with all scripts you try to run or just that one in particular?

It happens with almost all scripts, atleast ones that I've tried. However, once I was trying to help someone fix an error, and I did. Then when I ran it to test and see if it was fixed, it compiled and started working (the mouse started moving). So....weird. I'll try updating the Java later.
